William's been having a day that feels like a Friday the 13th. It started with one of the cows getting its head stuck in a fence then it seemed every cow he found was doing something stupid. None of them were injured too badly though he was stepped on, pushed into rocks and various sharp plants before getting home when his horse reminded him of how small the stalls are and he added a few more bruises to his collection.
When he finds Milliways, he heads out to the barn where the chicks seem to be doing fine and at least they're small enough to not do anything. After feeding the horses, he sits down on a bench in the stables with a cup of coffee and listens to the peeps. He'll go inside soon as its getting cold but with his luck, he'll run into someone or break a table, better to wait.
Once the sun goes down, he sits at the counter and has a big dinner of a burger, fries, a root beer and a plate of heart cookies as he reads a novel while he eats.
