Happy Hour

Watson feels a little warm, but he doesn't seem to be sick. At the moment, he's far too annoyed that his suits aren't right and his stick is missing, after a strange negotiation with a bureau, he found a suit he prefers.

His mustache is gone too, that's Holmes' fault, all of this is probably Holmes' fault and he will find him and yell at him. He comes down the stairs as he quickly as he can and begins a discussion with the counter, who is rather like Mrs. Hudson. She does give him a stick, not a sword stick and asks him to bartend and won't tell him where Holmes is.

After wiping his forehead, he is perhaps a touch ill but Miss Bar requested his aid and Holmes will show up to gloat so he writes up some specials.

Your drink is free if you can tell me where Sherlock Holmes is.

Once the specials are written up, he pours himself a whiskey and searches for Holmes.

(OOC: Moist is in the midst of the IMDB flu and terribly contagious. Have fun. As of 2:30 am EST, I'm off to bed but this is open until it scrolls or another Happy Hour goes up, whichever comes first.)

There's a blonde with huge hair staring at that suit. She knows Moist. This does not compute - outfit, comportment or specials. But then she sees the sign and come up with an answer.

"Have you checked the can?"

No one said it had to be a classy answer.

Watson gives her a long look, "The can, which can is that exactly?"

"The sandbox! The outhouse! The loo?"

Maybe that'll ring a bell?

"Right, yes, he might be. I'll check after my shift. Would you care for a drink, miss?"

Though he's been downstairs long enough that even if Holmes had gone in, he would have probably come out by now.

At that, Clem shrugs. "Sure," she says. "One bottle of wine."

A whole bottle

Which she's probably about to drink by herself.

Watson looks her over and nods, better a bottle of wine than gin, "Red or white?"

"Red," she says. "A good dark one, redder than my lipstick," she says, pointing at her mouth.

He nods with a brief look at her mouth and soon returns with a wine from his time, a port, "Here you go and have a good evening, miss."

Clem eagerly picks up the jug and yanks the cork out with her teeth - because she's classy. "Thanks..." she reaches into her pocket to tip him. "Take this for your tab!"

She may or may not try to chew his ear off if she gets drunk.

(OOC: I think this is nearing a wrap point as he's done his job and been polite but really not interested.)

When the money is set down, he takes it and then looks around the counter, "Excuse me, miss. I believe I see another patron in need of my assistance. Enjoy your drink."

Then he turns and walks down the counter.

She shrugs.

Hey, a party's not necessary when you're Clementine.

She just pries the cork out and takes a long, deep slug. She is, as always, the kind of gal you don't even need to tell goodbye.
