[oom: After a bit of stargazing, Sinric and Athelstan go back up to their room. Warnings for touching, oral sex and lots of feelings.]
And some time afterward, Athelstan is in the bar. His bruises are all but faded, and though his hands, feet and back are still bandaged and he's leaning on the crutch, he's moving much more easily and with less pain, thanks to Alanna.
He may be going for a walk around the paddock area, or he may be sitting by the fire.

Kitty remembers him and Sinric with fondness.

That might be enough of an answer.

He's got a fat envelope in one hand and is talking on his cell.
He looks up when he gets cut off.

Swaggers really.
"You look less like reheated shit than last time I saw you," he says.
Bluntly.
no subject
"A little less, no doubt. Time, and I let someone heal the internal damage."
no subject
"There were things about in there that weren't supposed to."

Working in Milliays provided a distraction and way to clear her head. She's exchanging some of the horses in the paddock when she sees Athelstan hobbling along. "Athelstan."
She let the horse go for a run before going over to him. "It's good to see you on your feet again."
no subject
"I had a little help." He watches the horse. "Though I can't appear more healed than I should be, Squire Alan and his magic mended the internal injuries."
no subject
She leaned against the railing. "How're your legs? Not too stiff?" She worried about him. For all he was putting on a brave face..she knew sometimes it was just a face.

There was nothing much she could do for his injuries, or that he'd even accept. She could try and easy his pain much as she could, and for her rank she wasn't so proud to help one who's done so much for her.

It might be a coincidence he has a clear view of the door from where he sits but I wouldn't bet on it.

"Content, my Sinric?" he says, pitched low, petting Kitty where she's still in his lap.
