There... well, there was supposed to be a dance party, one run with Wagstaff the ghoul's help. The oldest teenager in post-nuclear America had agreed to set up everything as soon as he'd heard the first few notes of the first record Ellen brought back from the Bar (a Marvin Gaye recording highly recommended by Sam Wilson). He'd drawn a heck of an audience. People had been gathered and had started taking interest. It had been on track to being absolutely fantastic, and for a few minutes Ellen had been just sure the Brotherhood was going to win over enough people to win the Blood Prince over through popular acclaim.
And then the sirens had gone off. Ellen hadn't even know Philly still had operational sirens.
And then one of the Blood Prince's ice gangers had barreled into the milling party crowd to demand answers as to who these people in the red and black Brotherhood armor were...
... this was supposed to be the room with the Brotherhood delegation's radio setup in it, back in Philly. Not the Bar.
"Oh, crumbs, not now!"

She glances over at the young man. "It grabbed you too, huh?"

'Suspect' implies one of two professions, neither of which really exists any more back home.

And his mun has been here over a decade and totally didn't know you could do that"Yeah the first time it was a bit weird. I sort of bounced backwards, and because I'd just jumped through a pane of glass, then I got thumped in the nose."
"Oh, I'm Auxin by the way."

The most commonly suggested items tend to be either matchbooks or napkins, but beer mats and bottlecaps come up from time to time too. That gets a wince. "I hope you didn't get cut up too badly," she says. "It's good to meet you, Auxin. My name's Ellen."

Bar provides him with a button, which is probably something he has a fair chance of not getting thrown out by his mother by mistake doing his laundry.
"It's nice to meet you too Ellen."

"It's been a while since I was in that one battle," she finally says, "but that... sounds about right. Or giant bird things, I'm almost sure I remember those."

More consideration.
"The ones I've seen were all pretty thoroughly dead, I know that much."
