He has been drinking birch sap, and writing carefully, the last few days. Now, he deposits the letters with the bar.

Jay, I shall bring haksilver the nekst time I come hear for to pay what is broken on your motobike. I am still very very sorry for drouning it.

Sinric, I have been very very stoopid and drouned somebodys motobike while very very drunk. I don't really knoe how to ride a motoboke when sober -- it is a thing from the fyootcher! But when I was drunk I knyoo as if that was a thing I am ment to knoe by my natchur. I knoe Athelstan said he will not be bak befor I come to him in England and safe him from the terrible king, but he may come after all if the door wants him too and if he heres about it he will be so angry at me. If so, tell him I am awfully sorry and didn't want to make trubble, only go around the lake very ffast becos I was drunk and unhappy. Kis him if he is angry and tell him its from me!

Not hurrying enuff feels like procrastination and hurrying to mutch means I mite not get you out well without grate danger and damage. I will come to you, and I am coming to you, and Floki is bilding nyoo ships, and I have Jarl Borg's ships becos I put paid to him onse and for all apart from the part where I still need to kill him, and I love you!!!!

If you don't come bak as you said you will not, we can read this letter together when we are both here again at last, and you can tell me all that I wrote wrong and show me how to write it rite. If you do not come here, or I don't knoe, I will try use magick and sent you a sine that you will see in ouer world and knoe it is me thinking of you and wanting to be with you and coming for you.
