milliways_bar | (no subject)

When the Luidaeg finds Milliways again, much more time has passed since the motorcycle incident than she had intended. While she is still riled about that idiot polluting the waters, she knows humans tend to have shorter memories than she and so she sets aside her anger. That doesn't mean she'll forget though, and so she plants a driftwood sign at the water's edge before heading to the bar. A sign which reads:

Once inside, she takes a deep breath, tasting the air, and recognizes the hints of harvest and spirits. One of her favorite times of the year. First she posts a notice on the board which reads much like the sign out by the lake, and then bellies up to the bar.

"Hey darling, give me something smoking, bubbling, and foul." She orders. Bar, of course, complies; presenting a punch bowl sized glass which seems to be filled with something Grandmama Addams would have been proud to make. Smacking her lips, the Luidaeg takes a long pull of the straw and signs. "That's the stuff!"

"I went on an adventure and found you a stuffed sea monster,"

Quentin says as he sits next to her and sets on the counter a rather adorable stuffed animal. He's still dressed for adventure and court with his sword at his side, his shirt has some interesting rips but he's in one piece.

"She's adorable!" She says, leaning over for a quick, one-armed hug. This might also serve to see if he flinches in pain. "Did you have to slay a prince or knight to get her?"

"No, but I did have to sweet talk the stall owner as someone else wanted her," He winces a little, he's still tender where he was healed.

"So why are you wincing? What happened?" Her voice might be a lot more serious than it was just a minute ago.

"Ysalwen and I went through the Labyrinth, there were some friendly merpeople, a shadow lizard thing that tossed me into a wall and then a helpful crystal dragon before the convention. She had a healing potion that did a lot, its just a little sore."

"Okay," she replies, warmth returning to her voice though she's still giving him the side-eye. "What convention?"

"FantastiCon, I don't know what city we were in as we didn't go outside. Everyone like our ears."

She raises an eyebrow at this.

"Your friend is fae also?"

"No, she's an elf from another world."

"Curious. I know you don't like being babysat, but she knows to guard you? Or you at least trust her enough to depend on her in a fight?"

"She's a good fighter and we fought well together."

"Good. What's her name?" Luidaeg will decide later if she needs to speak with this person.

"Ysalwen, she always has a wonderful big dog with her named Liranan."
