Sabine is sitting in a booth with excellent lighting and has several tools laid out, as well as a datapad with its case opened before her. She is very focused, studying the circuitry and components, while making the occasional note to a blue print she is sketching on a piece of paper.
She's been working for some time but there is neither food or drink to show she's not been eating. This could be a problem, but she is too busy to notice. She could like use an interruption.
[OOC: Open for the weekend only.]

Quentin's in pajama pants and a t-shirt as he walks by and stops to peer at what she's doing, "Is that from a computer?"
His bronze hair's a little messy with his ears showing, Bar caught him soon after her woke up.

"It actually is a computer. A very small one, that doesn't have a lot of processing power comparatively, but yes, a computer. Quentin wasn't it?*"

[OOC: I don't think Toby-verse has tablet devices yet? If so, then it would look like one.]

"Mine's back in my room or else I'd show you. A smaller version of that," When he says that, he gestures at the datapad.

A rat walks by and Quentin places a generous order as he sits down.

"Space waffles," she says, or the translation field says at least. She adds a few more things, trying not to get carried away.

"Hi," she says laughing and moving back slowly. "Sorry, thought I was back home."
Assuming the droid is still interested and isn't scared off by her move, the paper holds a few designs of something like a data spike.

It looks at her drawing again and clicks, as if warming up a camera. A moment later, a 3D holographic projection of her design is floating over her blueprint.
Jay looks up from the gadget he's working on at another table and calls over. "Stock, I hope you're not bothering anyone?"

Jay chuckles and comes wandering over. "Making friends, I see?"

Stock scans the datapad and nods. giving off a low whistle. A moment later there are three more drones, all perched on different parts of the table to project a much clearer view of the datapad's inner workings.
{ooc: :) at last, they meet!}

He raises an eyebrow and removes his hand, getting a disappointed little murmur from Jeckle who was rather enjoying the scratch. "You know, if you tried asking them nicely, they might build you a scanner to do this without them having to hover here."
no subject
"You're right. I'm sorry, I've been working on this for a while and I just got focused." She says looking up to the first droid, Stock, who helped her. "Thank you for your help. I am Sabine. May I ask your names?"
As she finishes, she looks at each droid in turn until she ends looking at Jay.

"It's nice to met you as well. I'm...well, this is a military grad datapad and I'm trying to slice it so I can access the networks it can connect to but I'm not a good enough slicer to make a program that can hide on its hardrive, so I'm making a dataspike with its own operating system which will hijack the screen, comm, and other hardware of whatever datapad its plugged into."
"The Empire is very paranoid though and so I need to make sure there aren't trigger circuits or the like to alert the system when someone tries what I hope to do."
no subject
"Yeah, I see what you mean. This thing's full of triggers, both soft and hard. Stock, can you run a data-sim for me? Let's have a look at this puppy."
A moment later, there's a data-stream being projected into the air in front of Jay's face.
no subject
"This is a 'pad I got from Bar. I wanted to make sure there wasn't a timed alarm that was triggered by tampering before I went after the one assigned to me."
no subject
"So, the data-spike you're designing? The idea is to bypass the inbuilt operating system and allow you to jack into the data stream without them noticing you're in?"
no subject
"I think there's another one. That one looks like it will shut down the whole device if triggered."
no subject

"I mean to access data outside of my clearance and don't want a trail leading back to me...or the datapad I use. If possible."
A flash of paranoia makes her wonder why he'd want to help her slice the device and so she studies his reaction. She hides the reaction behind a smile, but then she hasn't been trained by the Bat.
