In the main bar there is a tray of cupcakes. Some are brightly coloured, some decorated with flowers, some look more like puppies or bunnies, or owls.

Around the table of cupcakes are some comfy chairs, and on the wall behind is a sign:

"I'll do everything I can to see he does." Bonnie says. "If he still wants to, which I'm sure he will."

"I hope he's able to secure some scholarships and tuition wavers," Alana says, clasping her hands together. "Do you think Ted will take up a job as soon as he finishes high school? He might be an apprentice to someone."

"He wants to be valedictorian." Bonnie says. "I hope that'll get him somewhere with that. As fer Ted, I think we'll just have to see. So long as he doesn't go back into crime I'll be happy."

"I hope Stuart makes it," Alana says quietly. "It's good that he's challenging himself. As for Ted, I, too, hope that he avoids a life of crime. There's so many better opportunities."

"He just needs to get out of a funk." Bonnie says. "Get some stability. I wish he'd let me adopt him too, but I always follow my boys' lead."

"I'm sure that living with you provides a stable place for him to explore more options than criminal activity," Alana says, nibbling on her cookie. "He'll be all right, with your help."

"Only one of mine is in prison." Bonnie says, with half a smile. "One in nineteen ain't the worst track record."

"Nineteen children is impressive," Alana says, her eyes widening slightly. "How old is the oldest one?"

"Thirty six." Bonnie says. "He was fifteen when we got him. Bill and I went to the orphanage expectin' to come home with a baby, but he just looked so miserable."

"I understand," Alana says, inclining her head. "That you've opened your hearts and your home to so many children is wonderful. And now you'll have one of your own to handle as well."

"They're all my own." Bonnie says quietly.

"Oh, Bonnie, I'm so sorry," Alana says, her eyes widening. "Of course they're all your own. Please forgive me the slip."

"Don't worry about it." Bonnie says quietly, smiling at her slightly.

"If you say so," Alana says, shaking her head. "How far along are you in the pregnancy?"

"Twenty weeks." Bonnie says. "And I already feel like a whale. Good job I didn't try and keep hidin' it."

"Twenty weeks already?" Alana says, easing into a small smile. "Time has just been flying lately. You'll be having that baby before you know it."

"I know." Bonnie shakes her head. "It's still scary."

[patterns_bloom]

"I hope you don't get overwhelmed," Alana says, cocking her head to the side. "It's a lot of responsibility to handle at once. I'm sure you'll rise to the challenge."

"Ain't got no other choice. But thank you."
