"Yes, they checked for infections, and no, I don't have any," Autor says, subconsciously rubbing his arm. "I think Guppy gave me some antibiotics in an IV when I first came back, so I should be covered."

"Good," Sam replies nodding. "I should mention, assuming you haven't spent too much time back home yet, that everything you are feeling here, you are going to feel there. It's going to take some time to work through, but I'm sure you can."

"Also, get rid of the words should or shouldn't, as in 'I shouldn't be feeling this'. Feelings are their own thing and there's no right or wrong with them. It's only how we act on them that's right or wrong."

"I was afraid of that," Autor says, frowning fiercely. "Everything was supposed to be better once I reached the bar. But it's not. It's awful. To know that I can't escape from these feelings no matter where I go is disheartening to say the least."

"I'm sorry, truly. If it helps, think of these feels as a wound. They will heal if you take care of them. It will take time and attention, but they will heal and the world will go back to what you once knew. Not completely. You have changed, but the world is there and waiting."

"And here I thought all my wounds were healed," Autor says, with traces of bitterness. "Thanks, Sam. I hope you're right. I don't know what I'll do of you're not."

"I will be here, as will your friends. Talk with them. Even if you don't feel comfortable going into details, talking will help."

"Talking is hard, as we've discussed," Autor says as he stands. "But I'll try. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it."
