When Viola's view screen pops up, she lets out an involuntary gasp and immediately hunches over to shield it from view: for there , next to the options to become a fox and a-- robot?--, is the option to become a boy. What are you trying to do, Bar, give her away?

...but then again...

She presses the button. Outwardly, nothing much changes. She always did look uncannily like her brother, after all.

Harry has given his view screen a thorough looking-over, and still doesn't altogether understand it, so he's particularly happy to see Viola confronted with one of her own. And--hmm, she doesn't seem any more inclined than he to make a choice. He makes his way over. "What, good Cesario, wilt thou not trust in this witchcraft?"

"O, I trust to nothing but mine own wit, sir," she (he?) replies. Ooh, odd. Her voice, already husky, is only a touch deeper, like she's had a cold, but it resonates differently, feels strange in her throat.

"What strange forms did it show you?"

"O, my poor Cesario, grasping at such slender support!" But--his poor Cesario sounds a little different today, doesn't he. She. Harry gives he a quizzical look. "A man of metal, an ermine, such things. But art well, Cesario?"

She laughs. "Well, sir? Well-- I am as much Cesario as ever I have been, and so perhaps you may say I am all myself. But glad I am to see you looking merrier than when I saw you last."

That laugh. That laugh is different. "...And yet one more choice was I offered, now that I mind me of it, a maiden, a wench all smiles. What think'st thou, would I be a fool to give such a thing a try?"

"No indeed," Viola said. "I know well the light respect thou hold'st of women-- thou shouldst see for thyself how 'tis, to have such an airy composition."

"But art thou now composed of heavier stuff? Earthier--harder?"

Well, she still seems to blush fairly readily.

"Do I not look as I ever have?"

His long scrutiny would likely provoke a blush if there weren't one already. "...Thou hast said it, thou art altogether Cesario. In every particular?"

Yesss, she's rather red.

"Just so."

"Thou lackest nothing. Ha! Young man, let me buy thee a drink!"

Viola makes a very appealing boy, but we all already knew that.

"Why, very well," she says, laughing. "I feel all full of sport today. Perhaps I shall strip me all bare and dive into the lake."

"Marry, but I had that selfsame thought." He gives her an exaggerated leer that settles quickly into friendly laughter. "'Tis a fine day; we'll bathe in the lake if it please thee, or kick a football or play tennis, or drink. Whate'er mischief thou wouldst have, I'm thy man."

Quentin's looking over his own screen, a choice to transform is unexpected and interesting when he spots Cesario, "Hello, did you get nice choices?"

"All strange," she replies. "Will you transfigure yourself?"

"Maybe, it might be cool to be a cat for a little while. What about you?"

[livinginmyglass]

"O, I have had my fill of transformations, methinks!"

[heatherandsteel]

"Really? When were you last transformed?" He didn't think that was something that happened a lot to Cesario.

[livinginmyglass]

"Why, I am all transformation!" She grins. "My father was a gentleman, now I serve a gentleman. From Messinian to Illyrian to-- whatever title we give those who sojourn here at the ends of the world. From all that I was to all that you see me now."

Quentin laughs, he loves how that's put, "Well said."

Viola laughs in return. "I thank you."

"I hope most of the transformations were ones that you enjoyed and had some choice in," Forced transformation is awful.

"Why-- such is life, is it not? One must change, willing or no."

"True, we go where we're sent and try and change our course when possible."

"Ay, just so."
