Dave spent the last few days sulking in his room and trying to make Karkat into the villain of their last conversation.

Having failed to convince even himself of this reasoning, he gave it up as a bad job and felt like the enormous dick he probably was. Trying to sleep off the feeling of mortification also failed due to another set of bizarre and unsettling dreams.

Desperate for interaction but unwilling to actually meet anyone face-to-face, he posts a memo.

CAI: The Storm Coast isn't exactly Amaranthine, but it isn't exactly not, either
CAI: They are both on the Waking Sea, which gets a lot of storms
CAI: And there are very few things more beautiful than the sea during a storm, crashing against the rocks
CAI: It makes the green of the grass and the trees even more intense
CAI: I find it meditative
CAI: And also troublesome for ships, but we've learned to work around that
CAI: Plus there are no end of smuggler hideouts to find, which is both entertaining and practical
