Jay wanders in from his door looking comfortingly rough - cut off shorts, no shirt, no shoes and a week's worth of stubble.

He grabs a shaving kit and a straight razor from the bar and vanishes into the bathroom, reemerging a few minutes later looking clean and content.

You can finally him sitting on the back step with a bottle of beer, cleaning and sharpening the razor.

Sherral is the very picture of innocence.

"I surely have no idea what I could have done to earn his ire."

"Of course not." Jay grins at him, bumping his shoulder again. "You're a model of amiablity."

Sherral smiles a little, bumping Jay's shoulder back.

"The friendliest person in the Imperial Army, I'm sure."

Jay grins dangerously. "I've always thought so." He turns to pull Sherral into a slow, intense kiss.

"You're biased," Sherral chuckles.

He doesn't pull away from the kiss, though, instead curling his free arm loosely around Jay's shoulders and kissing back.

"Can't thank you enough." He murmurs between kisses. "For looking after me the way you did. Means a lot to me."

"I hardly did anything," Sherral replies softly.

There wasn't much he could do.

"You were there. And you didn't push me when I went back spoiling for a fight. I appreciate that."

[fluffiest_archadian]

"You have a low bar for being looked after," Sherral remarks, a little gruffly, but leans against Jay a little, pressing a quick kiss to his temple.

[runningred]

"Yeah, I do." There's a soft darkness in his voice, a pain that hasn't healed. He wraps his arms around Sherral, resting his head on Sherral's shoulder.

Sherral breathes out softly, angling his head to drop another kiss onto the top of Jay's head and curling an arm around him, raising the other to stroke his hair gently.

Jay makes a soft, happy sound, just enjoying the touch.

Sherral finishes off his beer slowly, and when he's eventually done, takes Jay's hand, pressing a quick kiss to his knuckles before standing up.

"Feel like heading upstairs?"

"When would I ever say no to you?" Jay teases, packing the empty bottles away and taking Sherral's hand.
