The front door springs open and Izana backs in aiming their yumi back the way they have come. Dressed somewhat like a high school student, though a mix of male and female uniform, and wearing the glove and chest protector associated with kyudo, they call out, "You, who would defile children of the Land of the Rising Sun, hear me. With my heart, I Izanagami..." as they pull back the arrow in their bow which begins to glow like a star. Unfortunately, their target doesn't seem to want to stay still as is apparent when a technicolored microbe looking thing the size of a small dog darts over Izana's head and enters Milliways.

Turning to continue targeting the thing, Izana continues, "...lay waste with hoshi and expel they vast defilement!" before releasing the arrow, which impales the thing against a support pillar. The microbe things burns up in a flash, leaving the arrow, which no longer glows, behind.

Only then does Izana realize they're in Milliways and they may have just violated the rules.

Oh dear, how awkward.

[OOC: Here is Izana's AU write up. Basically, they are a young god and fighting to protect teens from spirits that would feast on their emotions. Please pretend Izana is wearing a mix of male and female school uniforms since I can't find a graphic I'm happy with.]

Jonathan starts back as the arrow hits its mark, then stares at where the thing was.

"...um. Hi?"

Oh dear. This is even more awkward somehow.

Grasping the yumi in both hands, Izana bows their head in apology. "I am so sorry if I have disturbed your...evening? I had not realized my door appeared when the youkai* followed me in."

[* Youkai may translate as spirit or ghost.]

"These things happen", he excuses them. "At the worst possible moment, sometimes. Were you hunting it?"

"Yes. It was feeding at a local high school and so had to be cleansed."

Then, since that seemed a bit harsh. "I did request it leave before I attacked."

Jonathan nods.

"Can they think enough for that?"

"Occasionally," Izana replies with a sigh. "But you can never tell until they respond. It would be much more convenient if there were some other indicator in such cases."

"Do you know if there is a security person about? I am not certain if my actions warrant a validation of the rules, but if so I must accept responsibility."

"There's usually at least one. They might be in the office, if there's nobody wearing a badge out here."

"Thank you," Izana says, takes a step towards the indicated direction but is stopped by a growl from their stomach. "Well, perhaps after I eat something first. It is always better to face responsibility with something in your belly yes?"

"Usually", he agrees easily. "And for saving a high school, it's on me. I know hunting isn't the best paid work."

Izana bows their head again, a little embarrassed at the attention.

"I appreciate your offer, but I merely reduced the emotional and spiritual attacks of a few. Youkai only attack a person's spirit and not the body. It had particular tastes and thus only preyed on three at the school."

"What was special about those three?" he asks, interested.

Izana pauses a moment in thought, deciding if answering would violate the privacy of the three.

Deciding anonymity would protect them, Izana answers, "Like many teens, these three are exploring who they are. But unlike most teens, these three are exploring their gender identity as well."

"Ah." He nods. "Something for it to latch onto."

"Alas, yes. Youkai pick up on any emotional turmoil, even that of older people, but teens are my responsibility."

"Would some noodles be alright? Udon or ramen, is fine. I am not particular."

Protecting mortals from spiritual preditors is hungry work that doesn't pay very much and Izana knows better than to turn down an offered meal. If the offer is still there at least.

[OOC: Work is being needy so I'm likely to be slow today.]

"Udon are better", he says easily, knowing ramen as poor man's food. "What do you want on them?"
