First Possibly-But-Not-Necessarily-Annual Milliways Yard Sale!
Huzzah, hurray! It's not raining on the day of the yard sale. Flea market. Rummage. Whatever you want to call it! Event where you can sell stuff and buy stuff and generally wander around poking at things.
So Ursula has hung up more signs, directing people to a big grassy area, where she's begun setting up blankets and tables. Come on down!
((Yard sale! Party-style rules apply: thread-hopping encouraged, open indefinitely, make your own fun. I'll set up some organizational threads below.))

Sales and Refreshments

If you're him, anyway. We're talking alien hides tanned into leather, devil bunny pelts of all colors with the fur still on, bone and ... well, it looks like ivory, but not really any kind of recognizable Earth ivory ... carvings, things like that.
A small sign on the table indicates that all the items on offer are 100% guaranteed not to come from any known endangered species.

Milli-Scouts Lemonade Stand
This morning while the dew is still on the grass, she sets up the table she and Autor and Fry built. It's a fairly sturdy, if plain, table of smooth wood painted a pale yellow. She brings out a banner of white paper too, attached at each end to the end of a long dowel rod. The two rods are set into half-inch deep holes at the front corners of the table, so the banner is held up and spread between them. "LEMONADE AND COOKIES" it reads in all caps, each letter encircled by a drawing of a large, yellow lemon or the circle of a brown cookie. Just below, smaller by the necessity of limited space, "All proceeds will be donated to the Bound Patrons/Kids fund."
Once the table and banner are in place, Rae can be seen ferrying plates of cookies, a couple of pitchers of lemonade, and stacks of paper plates and cups out to the stand. The last trip out, she carries a couple of folding chairs and - precariously held against a chair seat by her arm - her receipt book.
Once the chairs and stand are set up and the is food out and ready, Rae takes her pen from where it was tucked behind her ear, and smiles. Okay. She can do this. It's just
"Lemonade! Lemonade! Fresh, cold lemonade! And cookies! We've got snickerdoodle and chocolate-chip! All proceeds go to a good cause!"
*No one said the adult supervision had to be by human adults.
(ooc: Mun will be in and out all day, but will tag when she can. <33333)
Re: Milli-Scouts Lemonade Stand
So at some point, he sucks it up and approaches the little redheaded girl at the lemonade stand.
"Hallo, Fraulein," he greets her, because calling a little girl Miss is charming? "How much for a cup of your finest lemonade and- um- what is a snickerdoodle?"
He speaks English with a German accent, he's wearing red lipstick and a black leather coat, and those heart-shaped sunglasses are silly but he thinks they're cute.

Re: Sales and Refreshments
The table is laden mostly with magazines and books. Lots of books. The books are mostly hardcover, some leather-bound, written in German but some in English: poetry, literature, Greek classics, Shakespeare (with both original English and German translations). Some of the slimmer volumes are erotica, which Emcee keeps closer at hand because there are children around. Which then leads to the magazines, which are partially covered because there are naughty pictures in them, at least according to 1930s standards.
But not all of them! The magazines most prominently displayed all have images of 1920s and '30s starlets on the covers. There are huge stacks of them. Gossip, pulp fiction, some Time and Life issues as well.
Propped up against the table legs are records that Emcee was willing to part with, only because he knows he can get 'digital' versions of them now. Classical, opera, jazz, mostly by German artists, others by British and American.
Everywhere else are bits and bobs, used and worn but in good condition. A pair of women's dance shoes, studded with black sequins. A pair of gloves, with silver sequins. A bowler hat, with a band of red sequins. (There are a lot of sequins involved in his line of work, okay?) A waistcoat made of dark blue satin. What looks like a pile of feathers is actually several boas, pink, white, and green. More feathery and sequined items, like headbands and fascinators, fill a little basket.
There are other random things like an alarm clock (the kind of you have to wind up), a Kodak camera, a tin hip flask, a couple of lighters with art deco designs on them, small but ornate brass picture frames.
Emcee is sitting back on a lawn chair, a glass of gin in his hand, and since he's outside and it's daytime, a pair of plastic heart-shaped sunglasses on his face. The sunglasses are not for sale.
Re: Sales and Refreshments
"What's this?" he asks, picking up the sequined gloves.

Re: Sales and Refreshments
But then he sees the camera, and tilts his head. He could actually get some use out of that, and being from actual 1930s Berlin makes it more interesting than any replica.
'Have you got film for the camera?'
He looks normal today. Studiously so, as if he's never looked insane or frightening in his life. All the manic energy is packed neatly away, where it can't be seen.

Re: Sales and Refreshments
Those magazines with the old starlets though, those remind her of the magazines her mom used to collect and read her. Those she has her eye on.
"Hey," she says by way of greeting. Shoving her hands into her back pockets so as to not seem too interested, she makes a show of looking over the items on the table.

The drones have beautiful things made of glass. Kaleidoscope light catchers, 3D fractal shapes, little trinket boxes that seem to glow from within.

Re: Sales and Refreshments
Soon he has a table set up with small scale automaton cricket players, a few knives, coins that spin or float, a mixture of jewelry and other projects that he hasn't known what to do with. Also a few of his books from Somersby, hard cover boys adventure books and other odd things he's picked up but never used.
He likes the feel of this sale, it reminds him of bazaars that they sometimes ran at school.
Re: Sales and Refreshments
He also has a wood burning tool with a sign: 'Names on objects, no extra cost'.
Wandering and Shenanigans
((If you want a thread of your character just generally hanging out, post here! Talk amongst yourselves! :D ))
Re: Wandering and Shenanigans
Quentin learned about rummage sales when he spent his time at a mortal high school, going to flea markets and thrift stores was something everyone did.
This has some of the same feel, it sucks that its during the day so he's yawning and sipping a coffee from Bar along with a bagel as he wanders. His disguise is down and he's wearing his Pleasant Hills High School shirt.
