Re: Music and Dance Floor
"I'm one hundred percent grade-A nuclear engineer." She knows, she knows, she's awesome, it's a burden she's learned to deal with.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"And I do believe that you are the first one hundred percent grade-A nuclear engineer I have ever met. And you dance, no less!"
He has no idea what nuclear engineers do but he figures a lot of science is involved.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"Well yeah, it would be a crime to deprive the world of these moves." She retorts, completely unashamed of her ability (or lack thereof) on the dance floor. "How about you?"
Re: Music and Dance Floor
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"Oooh, fun! Making them blush is honestly the best." It's (one of the) reasons she started teasing Erin, after all.
Even though currently, Kevin is succeeding in that arena more than she is, just by standing there with his... himness. Holtzmann claims unfair advantage.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
There's mini Jell-O brains in little cups. And there's also vodka. Should ever the twain meet?
Instead he pours himself some punch.
"So, where are you from? I am currently in Berlin, and currently planning to leave it."
Re: Music and Dance Floor
(She chooses extoplasm-green. It seems appropriate.)
"New York City. We just got some sweet new digs so the moving's been... exhausting." Not that it's stopped her from... anything, really, sleep is for the weak.
"I've never been to Berlin. Switzerland is as close as I got." It was in the plans, eventually going there, but... welp. Things happen.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
He looks over at what she's doing with the vodka and brains.
"...What are you doing?"
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"Oh, and don't stay at the Mercado, just.. baaad news there." She can't imagine it's any different in any other version of New York City (versions of NYC, well, that's not worrisome at all, nope). "Pretty much anywhere but there."
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"I-- didn't know that was a thing. May I?"
He reaches for the vodka and eagerly starts mixing his own shots. This is fun!
"Why is the Mercado so terrible?"
The art deco must look fabulous in his time.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
Whooo, that is... that is raw, that is... pain. It makes her feel alive, yup.
"Otherwise it's very nice, very swank. I always wanted to stay in a place like that."
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"Ghosts?" he half-wheezes. "Is the building really very haunted?"
He's totally gonna do another one.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
She mimes an explosion, grandly.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"Sounds extremely-- supernatural! Were you-- were you witness to it?"
This is fascinating!
--Oh yes, another Jello shot.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
Vodka makes the brains bob merrily.
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"Bruises-? What happened? The ghosts attacked you?"
Or was it the other way around?
Re: Music and Dance Floor
(OOC: I'm back, baby! Sorry about the delay)
Re: Music and Dance Floor
"I have a feeling that you are more than a nuclear engineer," he says, a faint smirk on his lips.
