Vyvyan has had a new experience tonight: having to deal with getting things thrown at him by someone he can't hit over the head with a chair.
He is not accustomed to being pushed around. Not since leaving his Mum's anyway. What do people do instead of hitting people over the head with chairs?
He's been outside to cool off. He thought about putting his head through the wall of that big hut next to the playground but that maternal woman was watching and he was pretty sure she'd make him fix it and then give him a badge.
So instead he goes and stands by the lake and lobs small stones several hundred metres across the water.
