Bonnie is in a booth, with a box of marking. On this occasion, she asked her junior Small Shop class to make a wooden toy suitable for a child under the age of one.
Conveniently, she has a child under the age of one with her, and after inspecting each toy for anything dangerous, passes it to Billie for further testing. If they can survive being bashed on the high chair by a five month old, they get a good mark.
Not that she came up with this task purely for her daughter's entertainment - this has been one of her shop class projects for many years.
Someone has clearly done their homework though, because the next toy is a little wooden motorbike, and they've painted in all the extra details. Bonnie makes a small impressed noise, and hands it to Billie, who runs it forwards and backwards on the high chair in approval. Bonnie write A+ on her mark sheet.
Now if she can just work out where her eldest boy is disappearing off to in the evenings, it will be a perfect evening.

Billie giggles and holds her hands up for a cuddle.

"Little bit." Bonnie says. "Not unusual behaviour fer a teen, but it's unusual fer him. I asked him where he'd been the other night, and he just shrugged and said 'out'."
She picks up the next piece of marking. "I don't think it'd be drugs, that's how his sister ended up in jail and they all ended up in care. But if it's anythin' illegal he's at real risk of gettin' sent back to juvie."

"Might make you help me wash up though." Bonnie grins tiredly at him, then looks down as the next piece of marking - a toy train - falls to pieces in her hand.
"Jeez, look at that nail stickin' out! The hell am I givin' this one to a baby!" she shakes her head and marks that one with an F.
