Sikozu has been spending her time casing the place. Oddly, there isn't much unusual to see, so she's decided that perhaps she needs a different perspective. Hopping onto a wall, she walks up toward the ceiling and looks down.

Let's see how it all looks from up here.

There's a man with long blonde hair soaring by the fireplace, playing a simple wooden flute. The music is simple but compelling. The sort of music that makes you tap your feet, even you haven noticed you were heading it.

He looks up as she walks up the wall and smiles. "That's quite a gift."

"So is the golden hue of my hair." He points out with a smile. "But that too has been a gift." He sets the flute down with care, fingers lingering on it. "I am Sinric."

"It won me the attention of a powerful man. A man who gave me much I would not have had otherwise." Sinric explains with a fond smile. "A man I miss very much."

"I never knew them." He shrugs. "For all I know, they were the ones who sold me."

Which is a refreshing change for the reactions of so many future age people.

"And thus am I glad of the golden hair that caught the eye of the palace slave master. Else I might never have been bought for Constantine."

He cocks his head. "You speak of one who knows what it is to be bought and sold."

"I'm sorry." He nods, meaning it. "It is no wonder you don't value your gifts, if they have brought your people such grief."

He nods. "I came to freedom late, with my master's blessing at his death. Life outside the golden cage took time to adjust to. And was not without suffering."
