Here's someone nobody's seen in a while...

Molly Hayes has a mocha-choca-gingerbread latte (extra foam, extra cocoa on top, gold glitter she didn't ask for but is very happy about) in her hand and her Security badge pinned to her pink 'FIGHT LIKE A GIRL' t-shirt.

She'd really have liked a beer, but she needed the caffeine; even so, she's more than a little slouched against the bar counter, facing outwards towards the rest of the bar.

That is one of the sugariest coffees that Quentin's ever seen and he lives in San Francisco, he's dressed for court in a faintly Renaissance outfit with his pointed ears showing as he yawns, "Does your coffee have gold on it?"

"I really hope so. But I think it's just glitter."

Molly casually looks him over, neither visibly surprised by the outfit nor the ears.

"Hey."

"Hey, that's a good use of glitter," He returns the glance over, he likes her hair color.

"Everything's a good use of glitter, dude."

You cannot have too many sparkles. Molly is unshakeable on this point.

"I don't know, it takes a lot but I think there might be a point. When sneezing starts happening, maybe."

"Oh, well, allergies."

Can't stop the sparkle motion, dude.

"Maybe, what kind of coffee is it under the glitter?" New options for sweet and caffeinated are good to know.

"...Uh. Bar?"

Molly's order had been for 'caffeine and sugar. Lots of them'.

The writing on the napkin that appears is quite small, to fit all the terms in.

He grins at all of it, "Sweet, my knight loves coffee though maybe not this much sugar but I do. Could I have one to try, Bar?"

The badge gets Poirot's attention as he walks by.

"Pardon me, mademoiselle. You are Security, yes?"

She raises an eyebrow.

"Guilty as charged. So long as it means my coffee doesn't go cold."

She's probably only joking about the coffee.

"I wish to speak with you about two men who claimed they were representatives of the Landlord? Perhaps you have heard of this?" Surely security would know about such things, and even would work for this "Landlord."

Her eyebrow climbs a little higher.

"I've been out of the bar for... a while."

Let's not get into comparative timelines. She's been coming here for more than long enough to know that that's a fool's game.

"The Landlord, huh." Now there's a name to conjure with. "You know, I always figured he didn't exist."

"I do not know if he is real, either. But these gentlemen, they insisted that they were his agents, and had been sent here to collect outstanding tabs.

"There was something inauthentic about them, so I think is it wise to ask if anyone else has spoken with them."

It is very sceptical.

"I'll ask around. Last I checked, that was not how tabs get called in."

Siiiiiigh. She gets locked out for five freakin' minutes...

"I did not think so. There was something, how do you way, fishy about them." He can't always say for sure that someone is a con artist, but he is usually right about such things.

"Oh well, I guess at least 'possible Landlord impersonators' is a new twist."

She's genre-savvy. And also, now she comes to think of it, a little surprised that nobody's ever thought of that one before.

"Molly. You are back."

Hence the coffee. It's a very, very large coffee. Triple shot.

"Hey, X."

X gets a proper smile! She can comfortably be relied on not to do anything that will involve Molly having to let her coffee go cold, for one thing.

"Okay is relative," X agrees, nodding once.

She orders a root beer float, possibly for similar reasons to Molly and her coffee.

"It has been busy. Here. I have hired more part-time Security staff."

So busy. So many explosions. So many impatient people who only want to watch the multiverse burn.

(So many people who are easily bored.)

There really is no such thing as a quiet life, is there?

"Anyone I'm likely to know, or are they all newbies?"

"One of them is dead. Harry Percy."

X shrugs, one-shouldered and quick.

"The other is Brienne. I do not know if you have met them before. They are not that new."

Molly shakes her head, pink bangs coming loose from where they've been tucked behind her ear.

"Pretty sure I've never met 'em. Harry Percy's name rings a bell, though, so maybe I heard of him before. What're they like?"

"Harry is angry, but it is better when he has things to do."

So sayeth X.

"Brienne is a lady knight. She is not very angry at all."

Beat.

"They fight with swords."

"Well, I've definitely met Harry's personality type before..."
