Hellboy is bored. Which is a dangerous thing when you're him and you live in a classified government underground bunker full of top secret things that not only go boom, but also go bump in the night.
He's on his way to see just what he can get into when Milliways appears behind a secure door instead of the storage room he was looking for. He mulls it over for a moment, then shrugs and steps in, closing the door behind him.
"Hey, I'm bored," he informs the counter when he reaches it. She promptly responds with a napkin and Red grins.
"Yeah? Sure, I'll do it."
Bar goes to sleep and Red steps behind the counter, making up a specials board and setting it up before throwing a towel over his shoulder classic barkeep style.
SPECIALS:
Umbrella Drinks
It's cold in Jersey, so he figures something beach-y is in order. That, and Red's never tried his hand at cocktails before.

(She looks like she was on the bad end of a beating. But you should see the other guy.)
She asks the big red fellow, "What is an umbrella drink?"

"I would like to try one, please."

"Comin' right up."
He raps the counter with the knuckles of his flesh hand and then sets about making the drink. There's probably a book, or instruction sheets or something with helpful 'how-to' information, but Red prefers to wing it.
A great deal of slicing, pouring, blending and crushed ice later, and he sets a drink in a hurricane glass down in front of her. It smells like tropical and vodka, it looks like a rainbow barfed a kaleidoscope, and it has a jauntily cocked purple flower umbrella resting on the rim.
"There you go." He is rather proud.

But then she keeps smiling, and she sips.
The strength of the alcohol makes her blink a few times.
"I've never tasted -- or seen -- anything like this. Are they common in your world? And islands and vegas?"
no subject
"Movies and Hawaii Five-0 make it seem like they are," he says with a shrug.

He sets about making a drink, ignoring the manual and assembling based on whim.
The drink that he presents to her is indeed in a tiki cup. And it's blue, very blue, with notes of coconut and quite possibly every other tropical fruit he could find. Also, lots of rum.
He garnishes the drink with a lime green umbrella and a skewer with the other fruits he couldn't get into the drink, including melon, strawberries, and something purple he found back behind the bar.
"Aloha," he pronounces proudly.

His attention is particularly rapt when she tries the fruit, he didn't sample it himself so he's curious.
"I dunno, found them back here," he shrugs. In a moment he produces the fruit for her, plunking a bunch down on the counter.
He plucks one off and pops it into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully. "Huh. Not bad."

"Name's YT," she introduces herself.

When he finds Milliways instead, he relaxes slightly, he's still in his more formal surcoat with a sword at his side as he approaches the Bar. Hellboy looks like someone he's seen around but he doesn't know if they've met, "What's an umbrella drink?"

Stepping away from the counter he sets about assembling a drink. There's a great deal of blending and shaker shaking, and maybe an attempt at a Tom Cruise Cocktail move that ends with a crash and a not so discreet 'kick the broken thing under the counter' move, and finally he presents the drink.
It's a vividly pink and yellow drink in a ridiculously tall glass, topped with a purple umbrella.
"There ya go."

It was happy hour of all days.
Marcus crossed his arms as he looked at the specials "Umbrella drink, huh?"
The terminator sat and nodded looking over the newcomers who sat down. The bartender tonight was a large red creature but he noticed a man with brown hair, a strange female and a few other creatures.
"Seems like I... missed a lot since I've been here."

Glancing around the bar, Red shrugs. "It's the end of the universe, place is always changing."
no subject
"No, not that reason, I can't"
The cyborg looked normal from the outside.
"Why the sudden studying, don't trust a terminator?"
no subject
"Haven't seen you around before. I size up everybody in case things turn to me having to punch somebody in the face." It's not a threat, just Red being Red.
"What's a terminator?"
