Eric has made his way downstairs and is now trying to be inconspicious.
It's - not really working. He is too big for that. And pale. And muscle-ly.
He has found a booth and is now holed up in it with a magazine. He had asked the magical counter for something to read and he had gotten something very glossy and heavy on the artful photography.
Interior design.
It's - apparantly something some people feel strongly about?

He keeps an eye on Eric as he takes his time finishing his meal of beef stew with lots of dark greens and a glass of red wine. Then he gets up, his own magazine in hand, and crosses the room toward him.
"Hallo, Eric," he says, not exactly chipper, but casual and friendly enough. "Mind if I join you?"

And then he lights up in a smile.
"Hi. Sure."

But he smiles in turn and slips into the seat across from him.
"What are you reading?" he asks, tilting his head to get a look at the glossy photographs.

"It's about houses," he tells him. "I just asked for something to read."
no subject
Perhaps they look like Eric's house?
no subject
"I don't know," he says.
"I like Sookie's house better. It's much more cosy."
And cluttered. And floral.
But it has Sookie in it.

He turns a page and finds a room decorated with minimalist furniture in dark colors.
"This reminds me of your room here."

Then he looks up mat Emcee.
"Do I like that?" he asks, innocently.
no subject
"I think so. I think you're particular about your surroundings, how things should look according to your personal style. If you didn't like it, you would change it. So." He gives a slight shrug and nod.

"You do have expensive tastes. But I believe Pam buys your clothing. Also very, very expensive."
no subject
"Really?"

Reaching over, he gently sweeps Eric's hair to the side, but it insists on flopping over his brow.
"You also don't wear your hair like this. But don't worry about it. I rather like it this way."

"I'm okay. You?"
Polite.
Soft spoken.

"That's okay," he says. "But - but you're okay now? Right?"

"You're friends with Emcee," he says.
Not him.
He wouldn't call him a snake if they were friends.

"I want to go back," he says, quietly. "People are nice here - but I want to go home. "
