[oom: finding the way]
The last few days have been... intense is a word, incredible is another. Barry's not sure where he lies between the two at the moment as he steps out of Iron Heights prison and into...
"The bar?" He looks around a little stunned, and then he smiles. It's a little weary, he's been wrung out physically and emotionally, but he's recovering steadily from both.
Letting the door close behind him he swipes at his face with his hand, wiping away the last of any tears that might have been left from a visit with his dad. Straightening the sweater he has on over his t-shirt and blue jeans he walks across the bar.
Remembering from his first visit to Milliways how time can be weird here he wonders how much has passed from then to now.
Approaching the counter he sits down on a stool carefully, looking down at the bar top and hesitantly offering a greeting. "Hi, I don't know if you remember me, but-- "
A plate loaded with chicken alfredo appears and beside it a napkin with note that reads Welcome back, Barry.
Barry blinks at the food and the note, then laughs.
"Thanks," he says and starts digging in, suddenly aware that he's starving. Bar subtly provides refills as he works through the food and in between bites Barry takes in the place.
Yeah, he's pretty glad to be back.

[ooc: I played the Bar's first Barry many years ago, so welcome!]

He doesn't mean to stare, but he pays for it when he swallows too soon and tries to take down wayyyy too much. There's a knot lodged in his throat now and he gulps, thumping his chest and struggling a moment to get it down.
Please excuse Barry while he tries not to choke to death.
[ooc: AHHHH! YOUUUU!!! Thank you! I'm so intimidated right now. I arrived in Milliways just after your Barry left and the stuff you did with him and wrote was amazing. I can only hope my Barry can try and live up to his legacy. <3]

"My apologies if I startled you." As if a talking tree-creature isn't more startling that just a tree-creature.
[ooc: blushing madly. thanks for the kind words.]

"No-- you're fine-- I wasn't-- "
He shakes his head again, waving it off, then finally takes a drink from his glass, washing everything down and then pulling in a deep breath.
"-- Sorry, about that," he says sheepishly, wiping his chin with his hand.
[ooc: his exit post still makes me cry.]

"It's really good. I didn't realize how hungry I was."
no subject
"Yup. Even if you've been gone for months or years - and yeah, I've never known her turn out bad food when she's feeling herself."
no subject
It's been more than a few, actually, something Barry's still trying to come to terms with.
"I'm Barry," he introduces himself, his smile picking back up. "I'm pretty new to the place."
no subject
"Gavroche Riddle", he returns, holding out a hand. "You had the full run-down about the place?"

When his study door opens onto the Bar, he moves his chair towards the Bar to get a drink with his notes tucked in his chair. He ends up near Barry, who's happiness at being in Milliways improves his mood and reminds him that he hasn't had dinner yet, "That smells delicious."
no subject
A long while, considering he just came out of a nine month coma.
no subject
He won't eat at the counter but there's a table nearby that works better.
no subject
"Barry Allen," he replies, then nods. "She seems very nice."
He gives the counter a pat, realizing that she did pick up that Barry needed to eat before he did.
"Would you like a hand with that?" he offers after a plate appears for Charles.

Not that everyone is actually wonderful but he finds the constantly changing population refreshing even if within that there are patrons he avoids.

"Hey. Yeah, I, the door picked me up again." It was unexpected but he doesn't mind. "How's it going?"
no subject
William's had that happen himself, but he's been lucky enough to mostly find doors that stay put.
no subject
Twirling up more fettuccine, Barry shakes his head.
"Not that I know of. It's pulled me in from two different places now, neither time was I expecting it."
no subject
(...fork-twirling is beyond him. He's just gonna stab and scoop.)
"Aye, that seems to be what it does for some people." Shrug. "And I couldn't find a door at all for a few months, once. Much time passed since the last time you were here?"

"Hey, Jay. I'm uh... doing okay. Is that a drone?"
[ooc: no worries! Slow times are good times. :D]
no subject
The little drone chirps a little sound very much like 'Hi, Barry!'
"George's family lives down in the garage. George is the social one of his pod. He likes hanging out with people."
George gives a little chirp and rubs against Jay's hand.

That's so awesome.
