An immortal in the bar

The front door opens and in walks Amanda, a large grin grows on her face, "Ah Milliways!"

She walks up to the Bar, "Lady Bar, may I please have a glass of wine?" then she takes a seat and starts people watching.

A little person peeps at her from behind a barstool.

Amanda notices then little person and offers a small friendly wave.

"Boo!" Gil says, waving back.

Amanda gives a mock scared reaction and then laughs.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Hey Amanda." Guppy laughs, following his smallest small person.

[immortalthief]

Looking up her grin grows as she see's Guppy. "Hello Guppy!" she stands up to give him a hug.

Guppy gives her a hug. "Hey, you look well."

[immortalthief]

"Thank you, as do you." looking down, "And the little one."

[guppy_sandhu]

"How are things going?" Guppy asks. "Can I get you a drink?"

[immortalthief]

"Things are going well." she retakes her seat, "Yes, though I think wine is off the menu for the moment.' she gives the bar a playfully rueful look as her wine didn't appear, perhaps the Bar knew something she didn't.

"How are you and your family?"

"We're doing good." Guppy says. "Fry's been enjoying the school play, Coral's been in a story writing competition and was really excited."

Headtilt. "Any reason you can't have wine?"

"I'm guessing because of the underage visitor." giving a look at the little one, "Or maybe someone waiting for me back through the door. It's hard to tell the true extent of her reach."

"How about an orange juice?"

Guppy gets three orange juices, one in a sippy cup.

"I thought for a moment you meant you were expecting." he says quietly.
"But I wasn't sure if that was possible being immortal."

Amanda's grin falters for a moment, "Immortals can't have children. Even before our first deaths. At least the watchers have never encountered it." it helps to be friends with a couple of watchers.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Sorry, I wasn't sure." Guppy says, offering her another hug.

[immortalthief]

Returning the hug, "No problem. This is Milliways so anything is possible."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Any luck with the new job?" Guppy asks, quickly changing the subject.

[immortalthief]

"Ah yes, Well I realized that teaching wasn't for me. So now I'm a pilot. Which is great because I get to travel all over."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Probably better paid too." Guppy agrees. "How are you finding it?"

[immortalthief]

"Just a bit." she waves down at the little one again while answering Guppy," I love it, but their is too much sitting down."

"How is your work?"

[guppy_sandhu]

Gil has a shy moment and hides behind Guppy's leg.

"It's going okay." Guppy says, patting his small son on the head. "My juniors are very overworked, so I'm trying to support them."

Amanda offers the little one a warm smile before coming back to Guppy, "That is kind of you." not that she expects anything different from him.

Gil comes over to investigate the nice lady.

Amanda bends down so that Gil can investigate to his hearts content.
