Today, Tess is outside. Something not entirely usual for her. She's sitting on the beach, watching the sunset as the wind blows through her hair.
She's silent, thinking to herself, and as the temperature drops will be going inside soon enough. But for now, the sun on the water is all that has her attention.

Ibani is strolling across the sand, listening to both the natural sounds and the Force.
There's a quietness here that she's seldom had the opportunity to feel.

When Ibani passes by, she offers a quiet,
"Hello."

Tess stretches her arms out in front of her.
"I've been out here for hours."

"I do get some at home, but this is different. I don't have a beach."

She gestures to the sand beside her if Ibani would like to sit.
"I'm a big beach person. Where I live is landlocked and I don't take advantage of this as much as I should."
no subject
"Where do you live?" She's curious about the world's of other patrons.

The quiet is wonderful and he walks over, keeping his steps loud if she doesn't want company and when he's close enough tips his hat to her, "Ma'am."
no subject
She repeats it, shaking her head a little, smiling.
"That's almost as bad as Miss Mercer. My name is Tess."

"I have. Care to join me?"

That happens a lot but he loves being with the horses.
no subject
"I don't mind."
She pats the sand beside her.
"What's your name?"

He reminds her a bit of Conner.

But here's someone who seems to be watching the sun, and so who might be some kind of sunologist.
"Hey," Eden says, a little gruffly as he approaches, jabbing a finger towards the sun. "Who's moving the sun?"
no subject
"Technically, as this is supposed to be a representation of Earth, we're moving, not the sun."
no subject
After a moment's pause: "Wait, who's moving us?"
no subject
How this all works in Milliways is beyond her.
"You're safe, if that's of any consolation."
no subject
He pauses, holding out his hands, fingers shaped into a rectangle, peering at the sun. Then, a touch gloomily: "Not even sure that's a real sun anyway."
no subject
She wasn't going to mention that to him just in case he hadn't seen it already.
"It might not be. I'm not sure how it works here."
What can she say? She's no sunologist.
no subject
"I feel like the luminous flux is a couple of lumens off. Might just be me, it's not like I'm a professional sun-gazer or anything."
That's definitely a real job. Eden's sure of it.
"Hasn't anybody tried to check it out?"
no subject
"Not that I'm aware of, but I'm sure at least one person has tried. Perhaps they still are."
