When Barry walks into Milliways and sees the transformation of the place his face splits into a wide grin.

"Sweet."

After checking himself over and finding no apparent changes, costume or otherwise, he heads for the counter.

"Hey Bar, what's going on?"

The screen that appears makes his grin widen further.

"For real? Awesome."

After reading over the explanations and rules very carefully he swipes over to the first offered reconfiguration. When he sees what it is there's no need to go any further.

"A robot cheetah? Are you serious?"

The change happens in an eye-blink and Barry is soon marveling at his new sleek and metallic form.

Perhaps a wiser, or less enthusiastic, person would wait until they were outside to give their new form a test run, but Barry refrains from such and immediately punches it.

The result is a spotted form streaking across the bar and slamming into a setup of Lego table and chairs with a loud, "MROW--AUGH!" followed thereafter by an, "Ow."

"Yesss!" Barry enthuses, then takes off and runs for the bar.

It takes a moment and then Cassian lifts off the ground and flies after Barry.

Barry races up the steps to the back porch and stands beside the door.

"Are you just going to run diagnostics or can you actually work on the ship in this form? Can a droid pilot an X-wing or do you see somebody in the cockpit? Have you figured out a way to get it out of the garage yet?"

Those are a lot of questions that Cassian can't answer in a way Barry will understand but he'll try,

"Bwee brip boop bee. Wrr breep bip." Start with diagnostics, I can work on it, can't fly it and don't know how to get it out.

Listening to the whirls and beeps Barry realizes his mistake and laughs.

"Right. Okay, well let's just go check it out and we'll see what happens."

He whirrs in agreement and when they get inside head towards the elevator.

Barry bounces along to the elevator, still completely thrilled by everything going on in the bar.

"This is so awesome. Was the day when the bar changed for your world anything like this?"

Cassian whirrs quietly as he thinks about that, at least in this shape, he can hide all the complexities of the day and gives an affirmative beep as they reach the garage floor. Then he rises up and bwees at Barry, they could race again.

"So bummed I missed it." Maybe next year.

He tilts his head at Cassian's sounds and actions then grins.

"Oh-ho, is that a challenge?" he asks, pretty sure he's interpreting the droid right.

He beeps and rises off the ground, come on Barry, take the dare.

"Oh, it so on," Barry grins, dropping into a ready crouch.

On the word 'Go!' he peels off. Maybe he's not as fast as he could be were he in his own body, but as a cheetah robot he's still pretty fast.

Cassian's not as fast as he is but in a long straightaway he can go pretty fast and pulls up at the X-wing, who's engine is still mainly on the garage floor.

Barry skids to an expert halt, much better at control running than he was at flying (it comes with practice, see).

His eyes widen when he sees the engine on the ground, walking around it carefully.

"Been putting in more work on it, I see."

There's a whirr and beep of exasperation, this is all Anakin's doing and he gets his way up into the spot for the astromech in the cockpit and plugs in.

Its amazing to truly be connected, he can see why Sombra enjoys it and projects the schematics for Barry to see. On the schematics, he puts arrows where what's been fixed, what still needs to be done and question marks where Anakin's working.

Climbing the ladder to get onto the wing is a little bit trickier this time, but Barry manages.

He grins when Cassian settles in and his smile is wide in wonder when he's shown the projection.

SO COOL.

Nodding to what he's being shown, Barry says, "I sure wish I could bring my friend Cisco in here. This would be like, his dream job."

He paces over to the spot of one of the question marks, looking to see if he can figure out what's being done, glancing back at the projection for reference.

"He's an engineer, so he's great with tech."

A helpful thing about projections, he can use it to talk to Barry more directly and text appears,

Anakin's a better engineer than I am. I can fix what I use but its a different way of thinking to build instead of repairing.

Looking this way, he can see that Anakin's doing a lot with handling and highlights part of the schematic to make the ship react more quickly.

Barry reads the text, head tilting. "Anakin?"

No way it's the one that comes to mind. No way.

He inspects the part he was looking at and nods.

"It looks like you're both doing a pretty good job. I bet you get it running soon."

Anakin Skywalker, a general from the Clone Wars, he's nice but its complicated. I think we will.

The politics of the Clone Wars were tricky and his own memories as a child are painful but he and Anakin can talk ships which is simpler. There's just a lot that he can't say but then that's how he normally lives. Once he sees something he can do, he moves out of the cockpit and starts working on the ship, trying to show Barry what to do to help.

Okay, so it's totally the Anakin that came to mind.

Barry tries not to panic, reminding himself that what he knows isn't necessarily what happens or what's true in another universe.

"I uh-- I didn't know he-- I mean, I-- we haven't met."

Trying to distract himself, Barry pokes at a piece of loose paneling, trying to figure out what he can do with robot claws and paws.

Cassian whrrs in a questioning way at Barry and trundles over to hold the panel, maybe Barry can use his claws as screwdrivers. Maybe he's heard something about Anakin, he can't think what but Milliways does have its own gossip.

Since he's disconnected from the ship now, there's no translation.

Barry snatches the excuse of no longer having a translation to pretend like he doesn't catch the questioning from Cassian.

"It's kind of weird not to have hands, I didn't think about that," he says, focused on the task and playing the oblivious. Nothing strange or out of place here, no.

"Maybe if I-- " Reaching out he's caught by surprise as his body starts to shift, parts rearranging and suddenly he's in a much more humanoid form. With hands.

"Whoa."

At the change, Cassian hops back and beeps in confusion, that's useful and strange. He needs to remember to ask Barry about what he knows of Anakin at some point when he's back in his proper shape.

"This holiday is awesome," he says yet again, marveling at the change before settling in to work on the panel.

Cassian beeps in agreement as he projects the schematics to show Barry what to do.
