When Cassian opens the door, he does it quietly as he's leaving the medbay earlier than he should, as he spots the Bar, he smiles to himself. As he walks in, he tucks his shirt in a little tighter to hide that there's bacta on his side and starts towards the counter with his datapad.
Once he gets there, he orders caf and waffles, he gets a note that he answers in Festian, "I'm on pain medicine and I'm going to sit and work."
Then he finds a seat near the fire with good sight lines and no one behind him as he begins looking through the intel he collected.

"Oh, hey, are those waffles for me? Cool. What'cha doing?"

Automatically he reaches for the blaster at his hip and then stops when he sees its Eden, "No, they're for me, order your own, some work."

"That's so cruel. I feel taunted," he says, mournfully. Then: "What kind of work? Have you stopped bleeding?"
no subject
A rat comes by and Cassian orders Eden waffles.

Broken windows can happen from bombs, people knocking against them, but then that keyblade seemed like it could do a lot of damage.

Well, maybe three Cassians tall. Details.
"It wasn't real, but I couldn't tell the difference, personally."
no subject
If it wasn't real, would it have hurt Eden? How would you simulate a Heartless? He knows what's possible with ships and even that only works to a certain point.

From what he'd said, earning trust was a part of the test.

It took him time to earn the right to lead a mission and a lot of showing what he could do.

Not everyone is and that can make bad missions end even worse.

"Have people not come back? How dangerous are these missions?"
no subject
Beat.
"Don't know how many people don't come back, though. It's not like there are daily statistics on it or anything."

How much do these keybearers know about what they're fighting?

He'd miss Eden but that's not something that's said aloud. Death's always too close in the Rebellion, sometimes it seems as if you mention it then something bad happens.
Dark jokes but nothing too serious, don't speak aloud about what it would feel like if someone's gone, because they probably will be.

He tilts his head.
"What're you researching, anyway?"
no subject
Partly true, he's looking over which routes the Empire's using and trying to find some patterns.
