Noriko comes into the bar far less dressed-up than she did the last time; she's in something more normal for her in jeans and a one-shoulder top, looking into a ring box as she takes a seat at the bar, getting a cup of tea.
She had the smaller part of the ring Remy gave her remade with tungsten carbide and re-set with the same blue diamond. She's currently looking at it with a half-smile, seeing how it slides over her gauntleted finger into the channel of silicone she put in it. It's kinda cool, now that she's letting it sink in that she's engaged.
Holy crap.

And, a moment later, "What did you do to yourself that's making you hobble like that?"

He huffs, and orders a cup of tea, which he drains. "I sprained it running a race in the fair. Stupidity abounds."

She looks down at his ankle and back up. "While I can't disagree, I'm not the reason you're hurt, so back off on the attitude. Why don't you ask the bar for crutches so you can get around? Or use a cold wrap on your ankle to help numb the pain?" Spoken as someone who's injured her legs more than she'd like to admit. Such is the curse of running.

At the counter, he sets his datapad down and notes her gauntlets, they're beautifully made, he can't tell if they're armor or prosthetics, "Lovely ring."

"A friend gave it to me a couple days ago. Still getting used to wearing one. I keep thinking I'll mess it up." Hence it being remade in brightly polished tungsten. Super hard metal and all. But Noriko still can't decide if the fact that the jeweler gave her the spiked clamp that will break it off should she need it is cool, or really disturbing.

In terms of being openly dangerous, there's a blaster holstered at his hip, "What's it made out of? I've seen jewelry survive in unexpected ways."
Wearing jewelry is personal and complicated in the Rebellion and can be useful.

Still, she keeps half an eye on it as she answers.
"It was originally white gold," she says. "But I had it remade in tungsten carbide. It's...an extraordinarily strong metal, one that can only be cut with a diamond, so it won't bend or deform. The stone is a blue diamond."

He's seen gauntlets like hers worn for many reasons, some for fighting but not always.

He takes a drink to push them away as he says, "Who do you fight?"

She doesn't go into much detail about that.
"So I wanted something I'm going to be wearing every day to be strong."

"Hello, Hannibal," she says, curling her fingers without thinking about it. "I am in a good mood."

"And while we're on the topic why are you bringing me tea?"

"Well since I didn't lock you into anything, I'm curious as to what you need from me," she says. "Do tell."
