Summer always seems to bring with it too many productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Quentin's found one on the television and he can't decide whether to be insulted or horrified by this one that has everyone in suits.
It seems to be missing the point and he's started tossing popcorn at the screen every time a fairy is on stage. He's in a Real Life Disney Prince t-shirt, jeans and his pointed ears are visible under his bronze hair. Soon he's going to need to get more popcorn because he doesn't understand all the weird ideas mortals have about Fae. Tinkerbell is almost better than this, at least she's powerful.

(He -- approves of the t-shirt. Catch him at your local end-of-time bar never admitting that out loud.)
"... Is this Shakespeare? Sounds like Shakespeare."

He tugs on Yamato's arm to make him sit closer.

"I'd prefer it if there was at least one giant robot fight. There's a total lack of them in Shakespeare's work," he jokes, although his voice barely lifts from its usual tone. "Which bit are you at?"

Quentin leans back to end up more in Yamato's arms.

As Quentin leans back, Yamato settles his chin, just lightly, on top of his head.
"If you get to the end of this movie, I might be able to arrange seeing a better one at a cinema. In my world. If you felt like it."

Except maybe Bakemon.
Seeing Quentin's ears go pink makes him blush a little himself. "Full disclosure, price of admission is helping me clean up Koushiro's office, because I'm the best b -- er. I'm the best friend."
An attempt was made to say the 'b' word, but that attempt failed.

Kyber also seems interested in the little fluffy falling things. There's a little ginger and white kitten chasing Quentin's thrown popcorn around the floor.
"Um, excuse me? Do you know if those are safe for cats?"
no subject
"Probably not to eat but its a good toy. Be careful with those, they're pretty big."
no subject
"That is it called, the food?"

He bites into one and makes a face. "Oh! I wasn't expecting it to be crunchy."

Bodhi's just about to call the cat back when he realises the rat his throwing popcorn for the kitten to chase. As long as they're playing happily.

On the television, Puck is doing his final speech and Quentin tosses popcorn at him.

The purposeful, rapid steps behind Quentin slow to a stop as Lois realizes what's on screen. Very cool. She watches for a few moments in silence.
And then, with all the weight of profound judgment:
"Huh. Could be better. Like, a few miles better. But I've seen worse."
Thus Spaketh Lois Lane.

Well, not all the time.
"Nah, there's totally minimalist productions out there. I guarantee you it's possible. It's the talent, not the window dressing. I mean, good window dressing helps. At least some variation would be nice, sure. I just hope Puck's not in a suit jacket, that's a costuming decision up there with bunny ears."
no subject
"Of course, style doesn't mean window dressings, it means that Oberon should feel like a king not a bored businessman."

She grins. There's one that just came out and she loves it.
"Nothing really makes up for bad acting, though. Has anything gone right?"
no subject
That's making those scenes a little better.

She blinks as a waitrat comes over and she orders a malted strawberry milkshake and some fries. Yamato introduced her to the milkshakes here. She is ruined.
"What do you mean, Puck's ordinary? At least Oberon and Titania can sort of make sense, with married couple arguing about sort-of-maybe-cheating. Puck is just completely with the fairy thinking."
Popcorn chomp.
And then it sinks in. "Us?" Oh. Huh. Apparently there are fairies in Milliways. Neat.

Quentin gestures at his ears, he knows Milliways has everyone but sometimes he thinks people don't look that close.
