Grapes. Pomegranates. Raspberries. Pineapples. Papayas. Pears. Strawberries... Not to mention the cheeses, chocolate, and glasses of wine.
The two infamous Jedhan residents of the bar lounge at a table today, enjoying a selection of fresh fruits--which were never available to them in life. Baze's favorite so far is the watermelon. It's just so juicy and sweet, and he's always preferred the color red.
Chirrut is currently trying to catch grapes in his mouth that Baze lobs at him. Most ping off his nose or forehead.
"Your aim is terrible." Chirrut laughs as another one of the delectable little fruits bounces off his cheekbone.
"Shut up, brat," Baze grumbles, pitching a handful at his friend's face.
They can be talked into sharing.

But he does, with a quiet-voiced chuckle and a paper airplane gliding peaceably over to them, inside which is written a note: I hope the ankle has healed well.

"Chirrut, someone has sent us a note on a piece of paper in the shape of a ship," Baze says, creasing the edges of his prize. "The note says, 'I hope the ankle has healed well.' It's probably from Ganymede, as no one else but Ibani knew about your ankle, but I don't see him anywhere in the bar."

"We call them paper airplanes," he says, loud enough for them to hear, but not so much that he has to pitch his voice to a shout. Ganymede does lower his hood, though. Makes it a little easier (and by that the narration means quite a lot, given his face and all) to spot him. "And if you've learned how to tap dance I will be very impressed."

"Should we put these in a gun of some sort? Will that help? Surely it can't hurt."

"Maybe I should get some bigger ordinance," Baze says, his tone desert dry. "How about a pear? Those are relatively soft. If I hit you in the face with those, you won't bruise."

"Thank you, Bodhi," Baze says, and tips his head in the direction of the spread on the table. "Did you want some?"

"That's....a lot of fruit," she says when she catches sight of the table.

"Hello, Ibani!" he says, immediately getting to his feet. He crosses to her, and scoops her up into a firm embrace, lifting her off her feet. Then he sets her down, and moves his hands to her shoulders. "Yes, it is quite a lot of fruit, isn't it? By all means, try some with us! I love the watermelon. It's cold and delicious and red."

"May the Force of others be with you," Ibani says to Chirrut before she reaches out to hug him.
"Thank you for the invitation," she says as she slides into a seat. "I'd never had fresh fruit before I found Milliways for the first time," she remarks as she tries to decide what to try first.
