After drinking the night before with Cassidy, Cassian spent the night at Milliways. He woke not long before the sun from a nightmare, tried to sleep a little more before deciding to get up. At the counter, he picks up a thermos of caf and some breakfast then goes down into the garage. The Willix cover has left him wanting to remind himself of who he is and what he can do.
In the garage, he sets to work on the X-wing, he has a better idea what Anakin was going for and is able to get some work accomplished. Being able to fix a ship and understand it better is satisfying.
Later in the day, he finds the speeders that Jay had mentioned and spots the door out. With his leather jacket tight to his collar, he drives the speeder bike out into the back. Its not flying a ship but he has control and freedom. He does a circuit of the lake, a few turns in the forest and later ends up stretched out on the bike near the beach with his jacket as a pillow while he does some reading on his datapad.
Tiny tag: Cassian Andor. Find him in the garage working on the X-wing, out on the speeder or relaxing on the speeder.

Cassian sits up and looks at the ball that William's hitting around, "You playing with anyone?"

He tucks the datapad under his jacket and stands up, "Yes, its been a while."

William seems happy which is good as he seems annoyed at the world a lot.

"What about you?" he calls over his shoulder.

He stops a few metres away. He doesn't recognise the man, but his clothing and insignia are definitely familiar.
He clears his throat, then waves.

By the time, there's the wave, he's sitting up and has put his datapad away, "Hello, you're a pilot?"
no subject
"No. My dad is, but I've never flown a ship alone before."
He hesitates for a second, glancing at the sky and back again, then says, "Are you? That's a speeder bike, right? I didn't know Milliways had any."
no subject
The garage is a better topic of conversation, "Yes, everything's down there. I'm working on an X-wing and there are ships I've only ever seen in history holovids."
no subject
He brightens at the X-Wing mention. "What model of X-wing? I've never worked on one before."
(He's never had to work on -- or fly -- any X-Wings, since the galaxy was at peace for almost six years before he was born, and still is now. He doesn't mention this.)
no subject
He'll start with that, the boy's asking about X-wings and that's something he's finding is a good sign here.

(That sentence almost ends, into the Death Star, but Anakin's been in Milliways long enough to know that timelines are delicate. He's also withdrawn in general, which helps.)
"Hi, Cassian. My name is Anakin."
no subject
"Your uncle's also a pilot? Its good to meet you, Anakin."
no subject
Anakin frowns thoughtfully. He's actually not sure whether his father or uncle is the better pilot, or which criteria should be used for judgement.
"It's astral to meet you too, Mr Cassian."
no subject
He's only ever called mister when he's undercover, it feels odd with his real name.
no subject
"Yeah, they both fly starfighters."
Sometimes, his mind adds.
"How broken is the T-65 in the garage?" Anakin starts to wonder if he could bring parts for it.
no subject
Other Anakin really likes making modifications.
