The circle of chairs is out in the main bar. In the middle are a selection of fruit pies, with a choice of ice cream, or cream, or custard, or none of the above.

Behind the pies are a large sign.

"People feel safe enough to talk?" He can't see doing that, emotional trust is the hardest to create.

"Sometimes not straight away." Guppy says. "But we try and provide a space that they can."

"That's good. Safety matters here,"

It keeps surprising him the ways Milliways' patrons try to create a haven of sorts though its doesn't always work.

"Oh yes. I know it can get a bit chaotic at times, that's why we're here."

"Compared to the cantinas I usually go to, this is calm."

"It can get problematic here, but hopefully it won't today." Guppy says.

"It doesn't seem like it will. You can usually tell when things are going to get exciting, the atmosphere shifts."

"Yeah, there's usually some build up." Guppy says.

"What sort of world are you from?"

"I live in the Galactic Empire, I'm usually out in the Mid or Outer Rim which is more dangerous. I'm a pilot."

"Oh, I think I may have met others from your world."

"I know there are a few of us but we're not from the same times, almost everyone else seems to be from an Earth."

"Yeah, Earthers are common here for some reason." Guppy says. "But I have seen folks from other worlds over the years."

"Yes, though I'm surprised there aren't more droids. I keep expecting to hear or see them but I guess they're not common patrons."

"Have you met Jay's little droids?"

"Yes, I spend time in the garage when I can. They're nice,"

Their size and shape make him think of Imperial droids but he doesn't mind them.

"Cute aren't they? Jay's done a good job with them."

"I guess they are," He doesn't tend to think of droids as cute.

Guppy laughs. "Sorry, I may have spent too much time with small children."

"I don't. I mean I like them but I don't really spend time with them,"

There are kids around the bases and in the cities but Cassian's always passing through.

Guppy nods. "The nonsense does rub off on you after a while."

"The drones do sort of act like birds or something like that. I just associate their shape with other sorts of droids."

"Are droids common in your world?"

"Yes, very common. Astromechs, cleaning droids to the spy droids that the Empire uses."

"Does every house have a cleaning droid?"

"No, it depends on the household, some might have a household droid or nothing at all. My co-pilot's a droid."
