The circle of chairs is out in the main bar. In the middle are a selection of fruit pies, with a choice of ice cream, or cream, or custard, or none of the above.

Behind the pies are a large sign.

Alana laughs again, bright and cheery. "No, please, call me Alana. I have a room upstairs, unless you're more comfortable in your own."

"Alana, then," he chuckles, beaming.

"I think your place would be much better, my room's a pigsty at the moment. I think I actually saw one of my socks crawl under the bed..."

He takes their empty plates and gets up. "I'll just drop these off at the bar an' get some-- uh, essentials." He winks at her before walking off with a bit of a spring in his step. In a short while he returns, the 'essentials' tucked into his jeans pocket.

Alana can't hide her giddy anticipation as she watches him return. "Shall we?" she says, taking his arm and leading him upstairs.
