Ganymede comes into the bar tightly clutching a small black leatherbound book: this in itself would not be out of the ordinary but for his clothes. Gone are the jeans and hooded shirts and loose hair, given he's in stockings and fitted breeches, though they are not fine cloth. His hair is braided neatly back, clubbed at his nape with a length of dark blue ribbon.
His shirt, and waistcoat are undone and untucked, leaving him staring at the expanse of the main room for a moment completely unsure of what has just happened to replace what should have been his bedroom door with a place such as this. Then he relaxes, his expression lightening just a bit.
"My god. It's been years since I saw this place," he murmurs to himself, shoulders dropping. At least now he has the time to write without depending on candlelight.

"Ganymede.." She's almost hesitant. She saw him that morning after all and he was dressed as she'd usually saw him-not like this. "Are you..were you invited to a party or something?"
People were invited to different worlds all the time here. She just wished to know if she'd expect him at dinner or not.

He blinks, nonplussed; he doesn't know her, she bears no recognition to him at all. "How do you know that name?" he asks her.

"You took me as a foster daughter last year." She kept her voice calm, even as she wanted to drill him for what happened, then go through her door to check to see if Ganymede was still there.

"I am truly sorry, young miss, but I have only one daughter, and she is not at all close to your age," he says. "Nor does her mother know me by that name."

She was sitting the entire time as they spoke, but she set down the towel and pushed herself back into her chair, thinking a moment. His clothing was definitely different, maybe it wasn't just to visit another place. "Give me a moment."
She pushed herself from the table and headed back through her door. There was a five minute delay before she returned, appearing just a little more nervous. She'd tried to call 'Benjamin' on her phone, but all she got was a voice mail, and even after five minutes he hadn't responded to her text.
Gyda once more took her seat, wondering what to do. She could live by herself well enough by now, but people would ask questions. "What..what's the year you came from?"

"You must know me from another time," Ganymede says. "When is it?"

So her foster father was 'missing', and this one didn't even know her. While Gyda knew this place could go between timelines, this was completely a new one to her. "My name is Gyda. I'm originally from Denmark."
Well, the Denmark as he'd know it.
