[OOM: Aboard the USS Ceberus…]
It has been a long, long 'day,' so to speak, but the case of the mysteriously distressed starship had finally been sorted out. Unfortunately, those in distress turned out to be smugglers, who weren't so welcoming toward a Starfleet boarding party, even one that had come to rescue them. That combined with their attitude toward the Twi'lek head of the boarding party, and Hera's more than a little ready for break.
And she might be in luck, as she walks through the door of the Bar, ahead of Kanan. She's looking back at him as she steps though the threshold, and so notices their surroundings a second after he does. They're both still in uniform, Hera in officer red, Kanan in security gold, both with their small Federation badges pinned to their chests.
Hera surveys the bar once, then turns her eyes again to Kanan. She reaches her hand back to him, with a small smile. "Shall we?"
Kanan smiles back, taking her hand. Together, they walk toward the Bar.
[ooc: Hera and Kanan are from a Star Trek!AU, writeup can be found here.]

Their uniforms look vaguely familiar but most of the television he watches is sports or news. He gives them a nod and winces, his ribs aren't happy with him so he's using Milliways to rest, he's wearing a Gilroy Garlic Festival t-shirt under his leather jacket.

His head turns toward the -- human? he certainly looks human, but that is not always a guarantee -- as he licks his lips.
"Are you all right? I know I'm a stranger asking, but . . . . "
[ooc: Timezones complicate everything, but is Cassian-Kanan-Hera an okay order for you?]

(It's possible this isn't that unusual an occurrence.)
"... but we might be able to help," she finishes, glancing between them.

"I hurt my ribs, they're not too bad just painful."

He squeezes Hera's hand, very gently, because sometimes he can't help himself.
"I've had some field medic training, though, if you want me to take a look."

Nevertheless, she takes out her tricorder and holds it to him. He has had more experience, between the two of them.
no subject
When the tricorder comes out, he holds still, he hopes he wasn't making his pain visible, that's not good with his work.

"Well . . . "
This is always awkward, but also necessary.
"I'm an empath? So some things kind of punch right on through."
no subject
"Nothing to worry about."

He nods, his face neutral, the technology he sees her is always unexpected as are the skills. Ibani could feel his pain and now this man can too, he doesn't want others to know it, "Oh, I'm sorry."
no subject
Kanan pulls his attention from the tricorder readout, shaking his head a little, and tilting it so Hera can see.
"No apologies necessary, I sort of invited myself into your space. Cracked ribs are a pain, literally and metaphorically. I think the bruising will sort itself out, though? Unless it means you can't find a comfortable position to sleep."
no subject
"Probably not much to do besides rest."
no subject
He didn't think it was but also wasn't planning on going to a hospital.

There's a gentle feeling of inquiry at the corner of Hera's brain, meanwhile Kanan smiles at the nodding probably-human.
"Hello."
[ooc: Tagging order of Bodhi-Kanan-Hera okay?]

Because she definitely feels she should know someone who looks at her like that. She'd hate to think she's forgotten anyone serving with her.
But finally, she has to concede it, and says "I'm sorry, I don't think we've met."

"I think it's the incorruptible spirit of honor and nobility, myself. That, or the terrible jokes."
no subject
"I don't think he was talking about you, dear."

no subject
"Oh, I see how it is."
He is not touching that look-a-likes comment until someone makes him.
no subject
"But if it helps, I'm Commander Hera Syndulla, and he's Lieutenant Commander Kanan Jarrus, USS Cerberus."
no subject
He gesture to the bar. "Can I buy you a caf?"
no subject
He gives Hera another quick look, eyebrows raised.
She's the one this Bodhi recognizes, it's her comfort level's call.
no subject
"If you'd like, though we'd hate to put you out."
