At the bar, Vivian Dratsab is working hard on an assignment.

It's hard to keep up, but he's doing his best. He has to make Mum proud, being the first from his family to go to university. And Oxford, no less, judging by the hoodie he's wearing.

He leafs through a heavy text book for inspiration, before continuing his essay.

'The specimen showed intact musculature from the point of severance at the proximal thigh.'

He begins to sketch a complex muscle diagram.

Vivian bobs his head in time with the music.

The music, however, is rather angry and fierce.

This doesn't appear to bother him.

"Hey Tej - play us a bit of Madness?"

"Can do," Teja says, changing his tune as requested.

[vyvyan]

"That's completely brilliant!" Vivian says, getting a new sheet of paper.

"Helps with studying?"

[vyvyan]

"Yeah!" Vivian grins. "Gets the brain flowing."

"Not literally, I hope," says the gothy guitar guy with a little smile.

[vyvyan]

"Not today." Viv says.

"What are you up to? Busy gothing?"

[ostro_goth]

"Expanding my musical horizon," Teja nods.

[vyvyan]

"Where's it going?" Vivian asks.

[ostro_goth]

"Down the path of history," Teja says.

[vyvyan]

"Up or down?" Vyvyan asks.

[ostro_goth]

"Down," Teja says. "Backwards, into the past. It works very well with metal music."

[vyvyan]

"What you going to do when you get to the bottom?"

[ostro_goth]

"Drum, I guess," Teja says.
