Want to talk skills, how about Barry wandering through the front door balancing three large stacked boxes of donuts and a coffee in one arm, while texting with the hand of the other?
Head down, a messenger bag slung over one shoulder, he has no idea he isn't walking into his lab.
If Barry runs into you, apologies.
If he makes it clear he'll figure out eventually where he's at and sit down at a table to start in on the donuts and a report that he pulls from his bag.

X appears in front of him -- several paces ahead -- having dropped down from the rafters in an effort to prevent collisions.
"You should look up."
(Her uniform is very brightly colored, blue and yellow and eye-catching in the extreme.)
no subject
"Whoa-- "
It takes a bit of wobbly balancing and some awkward bumbling (and maybe just a tiny bit of superspeed), but he manages to save the donuts, coffee, and his phone.
"X, hey, sorry, I didn't-- I uh, I wasn't expecting the bar... " he looks around bewildered for a moment, then turns a sheepish smile on her. "Sorry."
no subject
Carefully. Just once.
"It is okay."
Beat.
"It is better not to spill your coffee."
no subject
Tucking his phone away into his pocket, he shifts around the boxes and lowers them to offer the top box with an already cracked open lid to her.
"Donut?"
no subject
The donuts are sticky, because sugar. X does not make a face, and takes one.
"Thank you."
A pause.
"Do you want help? Carrying things."
no subject
"They're from a place in Central City. It's across town and out of my way heading to the station, but totally worth it." Of course superspeed helps with the trek as long as Barry isn't running too late.
He readjusts the boxes and shakes his head, "No thanks, I think I got it. Guess I'll just grab a table since I'm here."
He nods at a nearby one, the gesture meant to convey she's welcome to join him if she likes.

She heads toward the table Barry indicated as she does this, a faint frown line showing up between her eyebrows.
"It is not as sweet as I thought. The donut."
She got one that's covered in sugar, but otherwise completely icingless. This is probably for the best.
"You bring them for your friends and coworkers? Or you are going to eat them all."
Fast metabolisms happen! She knows!
no subject
"Yeah, I don't care for the ones drowning in glaze and icing. Might as well eat a candy bar if you're going to go that route."
About to chomp into the donut he pauses, and again looks sheepish. "These're actually my breakfast. But I'll totally share with anyone who happens to stop by before they're gone."
no subject
Then she moves again, taking another small bite and chewing.
Once she's swallowed --
"You eat protein, too. Sometimes."
Right, Barry?

A neat trick of balancing accompanied by a 'Ohhhh-- ' and he manages to keep the boxes stacked and his coffee from spilling.
Glancing around, he takes in his surroundings and recognizes Cassian.
"Oh, hey. Sorry, I uh-- didn't realize this wasn't my lab... " He does a turn around, looking back towards the door to see just how far he'd wandered before Cassian caught him.

He has a datapad in hand as he has work to do in putting together a mission or two.
no subject
"Yeah, sure, no harm putting off the day a bit." Time freezes are handy like that.
Taking a seat and setting down the donut boxes, Barry notices the datapad.
"Oh, hey, it's you. R--right?" Excited and confident for a full two seconds, Barry now looks uncertain and studies Cassian. "You're the one from space, right?"
no subject
That's an odd and weird thought, Cassian wouldn't want another version of him out there, not with anything similar to his life.
no subject
That's a safe way to put it, right?
"Anyways, how've you been? Want a donut?" He makes the offer while pulling one out of the top box.
no subject
He's feeling restless and not sleeping well, work will help.

The question gets an expression that's partially embarrassed, but also partly pleased.
"I like donuts." Valid enough answer, right? Because really, who doesn't like donuts? "It also means I actually get some if people at the station find out there are donuts in the building."

He smiles and laughs warmly. "In a hurry?"
no subject
He tries to check his watch, hip-checks a chair, and after a bout of awkward balancing, a slide spin and an excellent juggling act he manages to stop himself, keep a hold of both donuts and coffee, and register his sudden surroundings.
"Oh man, when the heck did I get here?" he laughs, embarrassed.

"Sorry for almost running you over," he says. "It's... Sinric, right?"
It's been a little while since they met.

He pockets his phone and shuffles the boxes so he can get the lid of the top one open, reaching for a donut before he pauses and offers the stack of boxes in Sinric's direction first.
"Donut?"
no subject
"I'm well. Teased by strange dreams of music, and a city I've never seen. But they are not unpleasant, simply strange."
