Hey! Here's someone with a broken nose, refreshing his ice pack at the bar. Baze waves at Guppy, beaming.

"Hoi, Guppy! May the Force of others be with you!" the large Guardian says. He lowers the ice pack, revealing a total mess of a nose. "How are you?"

"Good thanks. I was just looking to see who had been on the receiving end of a fight." Guppy says. "You need any help with that nose?"

"Oh, sure," Baze says, gently prodding the bloody pulp his nose has become. "I was just about to set it and apply some bacta, but I wouldn't mind some help with that."

"Sure, come on through to the infirmary." Guppy says, leading him over to the door and holding it open for him.

"Did Wilford hurt you anywhere else?"

Baze follows dutifully, heading into the infirmary and leaning on one of the beds.

"Ah, so you've spoken to Wolford already? He hit me in the stomach a couple of times and along the cheek and chin," Baze says, indicating his bruises blooming there, "but I'm not worried about anything but the nose."

"He didn't give much away." Guppy says, getting some gloves out. "Just that there might be another casualty."

"What happened?"

Baze can't stop touching his nose. It hurts.

"Well, he hadn't slept in a week, so I offered to spar with him. I meant to knock him unconscious or wear him out until he collapsed, but he's a tough bastard."

"Hm. Maybe next time take him on a run." Guppy says. "Or we could get him one of those electronic babies."

He gently checks the nose.

"Yeah, that's broken. You want to put bacta on it?"

"Electronic babies?" Baze says, blinking at him. "What? Putting aside what those even are, how would that help?"

He cracks a sheepish grin. "Sure, let's put some bacta on it. Thanks. Does the nose need set?"

"It would tire him out." Guppy says. "And I don't think so, but are you okay for me to scan it?"

Baze places his hands on his knees to keep from prodding the break. "Oh, sure, feel free to do whatever you have to do. I've taken worse knocks to the noggin."

Guppy scans it.

"It's in line." He says. "Which is fortunate, otherwise you'd have to go around with it like that a few more days before I could set it, waiting for the swelling to go down."

"Oh, that is fortunate," Baze says, and then laughs. "I don't think I'd do very well waiting on the swelling to go down. I keep touching the break. Bad habit, sorry. So, now what? We just clean it up and place bacta on it? That was my plan anyway."

"Yeah, unless you want some painkillers first?"

"Nah, I've already taken some over-the-counter stuff," Baze says, shaking his head. "And did so grudgingly; I never used to take painkillers for a broken nose, but I'm getting soft in my old age."

Baze is literally the opposite type of patient to Wilford.

Guppy smiles and gets him cleaned up.

"You got any medical conditions I should know about?"

"Not that I know of," Baze says, lifting his armored shoulders in a quick shrug. "I mean, I get into fights probably too often for any doctor to feel comfortable with me, but that's my own damn fault. But other medical conditions... Nope! I'm fit as a fiddle. Aside from, you know, being dead and all."

He laughs again.

Guppy laughs.

"Pretty standard around here." he says, cleaning Baze up and sorting him out.

"Well, sort of," Baze says, wincing at the cleaning. Guppy is gentle, but Baze's nose still hurts when touched. "I haven't met too many dead people around here. Not that I can tell! But for the most part, the bar patrons I've run into are alive."

"You should talk to Teja, he's probably our oldest dead patron." Guppy says.

Baze's laughter turns a touch sheepish. "Oh, yes, we've met Teja," Baze says, managing to keep the derision out of his voice. "How's the family?"

"Doing good thanks." Guppy says. "Well, mostly. Fry's not too keen on the new neighbourkids."

"Oh, really?" Baze says, folding his arms. "What about them does he dislike?"

"The middle boy is a bit rowdy and outdoorsy for Fry's liking." Guppy says. "And he laughed at Fry's new phone."

"Oh, I wonder why he did that," Baze says, cocking his head to the side. "Kids can be cruel. Fry has a new phone?"
