The nights are drawing in, so tonight's Life Support is by the fire. The circle of chairs is out, and the table is full of tasty pumpkin pies and apple pies and other pastries (special diets catered to).

On the wall is a large sign.

Alana is there, seated in a chair by the fire and nibbling on a pumpkin pie with whipped cream. She's waiting for anyone who needs or wants to talk.

Vyvyan is helping himself to the pie, putting pieces in his pockets.

"Hello, Vyvyan," Alana says, watching him. "Would you like a to go box for those?"

[vyvyan]

"What's that?" Vyvyan asks, looking slightly sheepish.

"It's a box for taking food with you," Alana says, taking a bite of her pie. "Usually made of Styrofoam. You can order one from Bar."

There is another dark-haired lady, this one approaching with a bowl of nachos and cheese and a bottle of coke.

Alana glances up from her pie. "Looking for a seat?"

"Erm, yes," she says. "You are with this talking circle?"

Guppy has apple pie, without cream, and has just dripped apple onto his trousers.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter, wandering by, wordlessly offers him a handkerchief -- a proper one, white fabric, with a white embroidered monogram.

"Thank you." Guppy asks, warily, trying to see if this is the scruffy one or the non scruffy one. He decides the latter.

"Pie?" he offers. But only so long as Lecter steers clear of Alana and behaves.

"I'd love to," Lecter says, taking a seat. "Who made this?"

"Hoi, Guppy!" Baze says as he approaches, tired and sweaty but clearly content, his staff slung over his shoulders.

"May the Force of others be with you. Do you got a minute?"

"Certainly." Guppy offers him a seat, and some pie.

Ooh, pie! Baze has never had pie. He settles his armored bulk in the chair offered him and starts digging in to the dessert.

"Mmm, that's amazing," Baze says, stuffing his face.

"I'm worried about a girl named Rose. Do you know her? She came in the other day covered in blood and I took her to the kitchen to clean up, but that was all I could do for her as she didn't remember what had happened."

Sam is eating a pumpkin pie with cream, though cleaning up a bit that's dribbled off the edge of the crust. It's nice to have something familiar to do given the turns his life has been taking.

"Hey, how are you doing?" Guppy asks, when the conversation lulls.

Do you know what free food attracts? Scavengers and pests. Like the one right now, covered in dirt and other... grime, with a giant machete hanging from his belt as he picks up an entire pie. And then half of another one to stack on top.

What? The sign says free.

"Hey, would you like a spoon?" Guppy offers.

Mark looks up suddenly, like he's just been caught doing something he shouldn't be.

"What do I need a spoon for?" he asks with a mouthful of pie he's already stuffed in his face.

[guppy_sandhu]

"To eat the pie?" Guppy says. "But if you prefer not, that's fine too."

Sahaal wanders into the main room of the bar, following the smell of hot pastry. Quickly, he spots the table full of pies and grabs one of the apple ones. The whole one, and the one that's got the thickest crust.

Since no one seems to be stopping him, he takes the seat closest to the fire and starts digging in with a spoon from the pile on the table.

"Hi there, would you like any cream?" Guppy asks.

"No thank you. I don't like cream."

Sahaal takes another bite of pie, a bit of filling falling back into the tray.

"What is all this?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"This is Life Support, it's a group to chat about anything that's worrying you. Or just to help yourself to free food." Guppy says.
