It's Cassidy's first Halloween at Milliways.

Cassidy wouldn't have made such a big deal about it. It would've been just like any other day.

Except that the moment that he orders a drink from the bar, fwoomp, he's suddenly dressed as an 18th century wanker, complete with a blond wig that won't come off.

"What- what the fuck- no- shitshitshitshit NOOO-"

A napkin appears on the bartop.

Yes.

"No! Whyyyy? Why this? What did I ever do to you??"

Another napkin.

You never pay off your tab?

Cassidy flails his ruffles and blond locks. "Besides that?!"

The Bar only responds with a smiley face.

"SHITE!"

The vampire Lestat is not happy.

(At least he wasn't given fake fangs. A small mercy.)

Cassidy stares at him, Lestatly.

"My god, she's merciless."

"I am some kind of child's toy," he says, "And I am soft."

He's not happy at all.

"You're a muppet frog," Cassidy clarifies, if Guide was in any way confused about that.

"What is a Muppet? And what is a Frog?" He asks shrilly.

"Exactly what you are right now," he says.

"A frog is a slimy little amphibian, but a muppet is just-- well, it's a puppet, really, a toy, as you said. Muppets are like this group of puppets that had their own TV show, real popular with kids."

He decides against telling Guide that the Irish slang meaning for muppet.

Guide growls.

"This is embarrassing," he says, "What are you?"

"I'm s'posed to be an 18th century dandy," Cassidy grumbles.

And he knows exactly which one Bar is referring to by dumping this costume on him.

Guide looks him up and down with his beady Muppet eyes.

"I do not understand," he squeaks.

Cassidy exhales an exasperated noise.

"A long time ago in my world, men used to wear clothes like this. An' I just happen to hate this period in fashion, so that's why I'm pissed off. All right?"
