Alana has collected her gun, and donned her protective jumpsuit from Jay under her red, dahlia-patterned wrap dress. She's ready to leave, to confront Hannibal Lecter in her world. She's tired of waiting for Rae--the past two years have been mind-numbing--so Alana has decided to take X's offer and go home with just her instead.

Hands trembling, Alana pens a few notes while sitting at the bar. Her nerves are jittery; for two years she's been putting off this confrontation, and though she's wracked with anxiety, she does feel she's ready.

Dear Guppy Sandhu,
I'm leaving the bar to confront Dr. Lecter in my world. It's time. I might not be coming back, so I wanted to say goodbye to you personally and apologize for leaving you with Life Support. Wish me luck.

And also:

Dear X,
I'm ready to leave the bar, and I need your help. Rae Seddon will not be coming with us. Please contact me when you're ready. Thank you for being willing to help me.

And finally:

Dear Rae,
I'm ready to leave the bar. I'm sorry I couldn't wait for you any longer. I hope that whatever you needed to accomplish in your world was finished to your satisfaction. Thank you for offering to help me. I might not be coming back, so take care of yourself.

Notes delivered, Alana wraps her shaking hands around her latte and waits.

Alana looks away. "Yes, she'll take care of me," she says, and then looks back to him. "So, I guess this is goodbye."

"It seems so," He nods and rubs his neck, he's never liked goodbyes. Saying them seems like inviting trouble and goes with an older saying that's sometimes said in the Rebellion, he doesn't fully believe it but its better than goodbye, "May the Force be with you."

"Thank you," Alana says, smiling a little. "May the Force be with you as well. So, how are you? This is probably the last time I'll have to catch up."

"Not too bad. I just missed the latest mishap with people becoming children. Now I'm getting ready for a new job and doing some work on my ship,"

Nothing major but there's always something that needs to be taken care of.

"Ah, yes, I'd heard about that," Alana says, nodding thoughtfully. "In glad the bar weird missed you this time around. Good luck about the work on your ship."

"The last two got me with a Halloween costume and I was here when the translation field wasn't working. Both could have been worse. Its mainly maintenance that always needs to be done."

"The translation field not working was quite inconvenient," Alana says, shaking her head. "What Halloween costume?"

"Yes, but not too strange. That's what I'm used to cantinas sounding like, different languages and everyone searching for the common ways to talk. An Earth style suit, a friend of mine called it armani and said it made me seem like James Bond. I definitely got off easy there,"

He didn't appreciate how accurate the costume was for what's meant to be secret but not everyone knew that aspect.

"James Bond, huh?" Alana says, managing a small smile. "I bet you looked amazing in an Armani suit. You don't often get to dress up like that, right?"

"No, there's not much reason to in my line of work,"

If he has to wear something more formal, its usually an Imp uniform for an undercover job.

"I see," Alana says, inclining her head. "Was the suit uncomfortable for you?"

"Not terribly though I did feel odd not having a weapon and the tie was strange."

"She took your weapons?" Alana says, blinking at him. "I wouldn't have expected that. I see you retrieved them after the holiday was over."

"They weren't part of the costume so I didn't have a blaster. I wouldn't have had a good belt to hang it from. I didn't mind, it was simply unexpected,"

In Milliways, he hasn't had many reasons to draw his blaster which made it easier. He also in his work doesn't always have easy access to a weapon.

"Did she at least give you any gadgets?" Alana says, tilting her head. "James Bond is famous for his gadgets."

"She did, yes, a good set of lockpicks and I think something like an older holovid but that was small. Also a pen that I never figured out what it did,"

He did like the gadgets, the lockpick set was good and small.

"Impressive," Alana says, her smile growing. "I'm sorry you never figured out the pen. What was the holovid?"

Cassian does a quick gesture of something like a deck of cards, "About that size, though not my technology but definitely for image capture."

"Oh, so there was nothing on it when you were given the holovid?" Alana says, furrowing her brow. "Did you take any images?"

"Not that I could find. I did a little testing but not much," There wasn't anything that he felt he needed to have an image of.

"That's too bad," Alana says, nodding thoughtfully. "I would have liked to have seen a picture of you in that suit."

Cassian shrugs and drinks his caf, "I didn't look that different. A little neater, my hair was slicked down."

Alana inclines her head. "I still would have liked to have seen it. I'm glad the costume was only for one night, though."

"Yes and as I saw with some other people. I got off lucky in terms of my outfit. A friend of mine had to deal with a wig,"

Cassidy was so unhappy and looked nothing like himself.

"One that wouldn't come off, right?" Alana says, an involuntary shudder running through her.
