Steve Rogers comes through the door, wearing his uniform and with his shield on his back, looking dirty and exhausted. He relaxes when he sees the door brought him to the bar.
He sits at the end of the bar, away from most of the people, and quietly asks for coffee and a couple sandwiches. "And a scotch," he adds after a moment, and takes a sip of that first when his food and drinks appear.
It's ... been a really long day.
[ooc: Steve is now post-the Battle of Sokovia in The Age of Ultron; yay for finally moving up on in canon.]

Whoever this man is, wherever he's from, he's just come from a battle. A hard one, by the dust on his strange armoured uniform. Sahaal's seen mortals like this before, and some of them don't snap out of it.
He heads over with his food, and sits a couple of stools away.
"Are you alright?"

"If you don't mind me asking, what were you fighting?"

Yes, he knows how it sounds.

"I assume you won, then?"

"You okay, dude?" he asks, friendly enough.

Just hungry and sad. Sandwiches for one. Scotch will do for the other.

He had damn near broken down the door of his rented room tearing it open to Milliways. If Steve -- if he checks in there, it'll be faster than anything else.
But if he isn't -- if he doesn't --
He's already calculating how long it'll take him to get to Sokovia as he bolts into the bar and looks around.

"Steve."
He loses no time in crossing the room to his friend, looking him over carefully.
"What the fuck, Steve?"

He has a sip, then says, "I lost a member of my team. Just a kid. I don't feel much like celebrating."

(He'd have tried Fury, but he didn't have a number, and he was certain Natasha was already there. He was still tempted to call her to see if she could set something up for him, but decided she likely had other things to worry about.)
And of course, after three hours, it was over. At least if you believed the news reports. Sam gave into to fate, somewhat, and decided to head to Milliways (maybe there was another way to Steve there.)
Spotting Steve, alive and worse for wear, Sam exhales before heading over.
"You okay?"
no subject
"Pietro died."

"That new kid they were showing in the news? Damn." It's a guess, and the shots on the TV had been sketchy, but his was the only fresh face aside from the woman.
He sighs and shakes his head.
"I tried to get there, but I guess everything's wrapped up? I'm ready now. i can follow you back if you need. Jay has a spare rig here for me..."
no subject
"I'm not sure what's going to happen next with the team, to be honest."

"It fits the weather. And the mood."
Any mood really.
Then he nods at Steve's get-up.
"Taking a break?"
