Regrets. Barry has them.

He has ALL of them.

He's not sure when the party ended, or really even how he got here now, but he's at the counter nursing a ridiculously large mug of coffee and a hangover of epic proportions.

Over near the fire place Cisco is crashed out on one of the couches, sleeping off his own night of celebration.

"Rough night?"

Diana's voice is wry, as is her expression as she settles into a seat next to Barry.

"Have you eaten anything yet?"

"The worst. And the best. I don't even know," he sighs.

Her food question causes a groan. "I'm pretty sure I ate an entire buffet table." And possibly lost a good portion of that when the night caught up with him.

Taking a sip of coffee, he offers her a wane smile.

"Hi, Diana, how're you?"

"Better than you," she says, grinning.

"Not that that would be hard just now, hmm?"

She does not reach out to ruffle his hair.

"Do you want to know what Amazons use to cure what's currently ailing you?"

He probably doesn't.

"Pretty sure only death would be worse than this, but then I'd at least be dead," he replies, reaching up to massage his temples.

And since he feels so miserable, he's totally willing to hear any cure-alls someone might have.

"What?" he asks, glancing over at her.

"Training and exercise."

She's not smirking, really.

"Sweat out all the bad humors."

Barry blinks at her.

"Yeaaah... I think I'm just gonna stick with the coffee."

Diana pats his shoulder gently, still smiling.

"Yes, somehow I had that feeling."

A few seats over is a man in similar straights, nursing a blue Gatorade.

"...hangover food?" He's apparently speaking to Bar as a plate of simple scrambled eggs appears. "Thanks."

Barry glances over and pales even further at the plate of eggs. After the literal buffet he ate (and later lost) last night, he wants nothing to do with food right now.

"Emcee's party?" he hazards a guess to the man.

Gabriel glances over. "You, too, huh?" He manages a small bite of eggs. He usually likes hot sauce and the like but bland is just fine today. "Look about how I feel."

"I sincerely hope you don't feel this bad," Barry mumbles into his mug as he takes another drink of coffee. Because right now Barry might be okay with just dying.

"Nice of you," Gabriel monotones back. He doesn't really have the energy for much inflection.

"Gabriel."

[run_barry]

"Barry Allen," he answers in kind.

"Y'know, I was really hoping some world out there had a cure for hangovers that Bar might share." But if there is one she hasn't given it over.

Of course, it's entirely possible Bar just believes people should learn from their bad mistakes, rather than giving out cure-alls.

Jay drops a bottle of water and a couple of aspirin in front of Barry, setting the same down for Cisco when he wakes up.

Jay sits himself down next to Barry and orders himself a strong Turkish coffee. Even if he does look far too bright and cheerful. "You drank the Atlantean, didn't you?"

Barry has his head in his hands, but parts his fingers to look at the bottle and aspirin before finally dropping his arms to the counter and pushing himself a bit upright out of his hunch.

"Atlantean?" He scrubs a hand down his face, shaking his head as he reaches for the aspirin and palms them; wondering if they'll even do anything at all.

"Dude, all I know is Cisco asked a wait rat for something to get me drunk, since we couldn't do it back in Central City, and now after the party last night I just honestly want to die."

"Atlantean wine. Reserved for gods and high metas. I suspect that's what messed you up." he sips his coffee. "That and if you're metabolism hasn't let you get drunk in a while, you've probably become a light weight." If Barry wasn't already.

[run_barry]

"Whatever it was, it messed me up. I don't remember like ninety percent of last night."

He blows out a slow breath, waiting for his churning stomach to settle out.

"How was your night?"

[runningred]

"Pity, it was a hell of a party." Jay chuckles. "My night was great. Bit of a rough patch in the middle but I worked out."

[run_barry]

"Oh, what happened?" He's specifically asking about the rough patch, but he'll take details about the party if Jay would rather talk about that.

Baze had stepped away for only a minute, to use the restroom and wash his face, but by the time he gets back, Barry's awake.

"Hoi, Barry. May the Force of others be with you," Baze says, quietly, so his voice doesn't ring through the young man's head.

"Have you been drinking water?"

"Baze, hey," Barry greets the man. Barry's eyes are a little tight and crinkled at the edges, but the smile he gives is genuine.

"Coffee," he answers, giving a slight gesture with the oversized mug.

"I uh-- had a bit of a rough night."

"I know, I was there," Baze says, not without sympathy. He glances to Cisco, asleep on the couch, and settles on a stool with a yawn.

"Your friend was worried about you."

[run_barry]

"Oh. Sorry, I-- " he makes a vague gesture at his head, sheepish. "I guess it was some party. I've never really overdone it like that before."

But his lesson is most definitely learned.

Glancing over at Cisco, Barry frowns a little. "Did he, um, overdo it, too?"

"The party was fun; there was dancing. I'm sorry you can't remember," Baze says, stretching his armorless neck.

"He didn't drink, as far as I can tell. But he wore himself out chasing after you. You were telling people that you're the Streak, and someone even interrogated you."

[run_barry]

"Me, too." He doesn't get to many parties, and knowing the Milliways crowd this was probably a fun one.

He breathes deep and lifts his mug of coffee, then nearly drops the thing on Baze's last.

"Wh-- wha-- I did what?!"
