X can be found in the gym, practicing her parkour using walls, chairs, and any and all equipment in the room. It's something to do, and is not useless for training.

After, she will shower and change, then make her way -- hair still damp -- out into the Bar proper for a plate of spaghetti and a root beer float.

Her Security badge will be pinned to her belt at this point.

He's been outside most of the day, sitting around in the snow, looking out over the lake. It's been almost nice. When he comes back inside, shaking off his coat, he heads straight for the Bar and a beer.

It's a good minute before he realizes he smells something that's at least familiar even if he can't pin it down exactly.

X, too, scents something familiar in the air (or someone).

She does not bother to turn toward the source, at least not at first. She'll wait until she's sure he's either going to approach on his own, or not.

He forgets his beer for the time being, concentrating on narrowing down where that scent is coming from. It leads him in the direction X is in, but not necessarily to her specifically.

It's getting stronger as he goes.

When he gets close enough that they can see the whites of each others' eyes -- or perhaps a little closer than that -- X turns, head tilting very slightly.

"You are looking for me? Logan is not here. Right now."

"What?" He turns to face her, eyes squinting as he takes a good, long look at her. Yep, she's the source. "What do you know about Logan?"

Baze catches up with her after her shower, approaching with a smile.

"Hoi, X! May the Force of others be with you. How are you?"

"Baze."

X nods at his approach, footsteps silent and sure against the floor.

"I am okay."

Beat.

"You are, too?"

"Oh, yes, I'm fine. A little worn out from Emcee's party a couple of days ago, but other than that, I'm all right," Baze says, shivering a little. She can probably smell that his last meal was simple rations--protein bars and water--at least eighteen hours ago. He's also foregone his armor and gun, wearing only a staff strapped to his back--and knives in his boots, and a shockstick up his left sleeve.

He sobers a bit, lowering his voice.

"I wanted to let you know about a new arrival that might get themselves in trouble with another new arrival. Gabriel Reyes, the first arrival, is a soldier from Kan-sas who has an understandable vendetta against omnics, or killer droids, one of which showed up at Emcee's party last night."

Baze resists the urge to scratch his beard, as he'd have to wash his hands again.

"The droid was singing and dancing, so I don't think it's a threat, but Reyes thinks otherwise because he kills them for a living. I told Reyes to get into touch with you if he wanted to express his concerns."

X does not sigh.

She really, really doesn't.

"That is good to know."

Beat.

"You told him he is not allowed to kill the omnic in here. He did not agree?"

"Oh, he agreed, but... Let's see, how did he put it? 'I'm not going to attack something that fires a hundred rounds per minute, Baze,' I think. Something like that, anyway," Baze says, and he does sigh. He folds his arms, too.

"So I get the feeling that he would attack one if it became violent, which is Security's job, obviously. There's also another person here from his world who may know him, but definitely knows the omnics."

Jay's in the gym too, just working with some weights. Nothing too extreme, just keeping in shape. He watches X, deeply impressed.

She does not flick a glance in his direction, but eventually --

"You want to practice? Too."

"Nar, I'm good thanks. I've got some katas to do after this. Taking it easy today." Not that he drank much at the party but the afterparty was... athletic. And bits of him still ache.

If he smells like sex, X is going to know.

She's not going to say anything, but she's going to know.

And with who.

"You have been busy? At home."

Oh, he does. And with more than one person. It was a very good night.

"I have. There's a crime syndicate in Hong Kong I've been talking apart piece by piece. It keeps me on my toes. You?"

At some point Bar presents her with a note and a tablet computer.

X,

Baze Malbus suggested I inform you of an omnic I encountered in the bar. Specifically an SST Laboratories Siege Automaton, Bastion model. Schematics are on the tablet but may not be the same model. I understand bar rules and the omnic doesn't seem hostile but given Bastion units are extremely efficient at devastating human populations I wanted Security to be prepared.

I'm happy to answer any further inquiries.

It is good you told me. The Bastion is not the only person in the bar that is extremely efficient at devastating human populations. Or other populations. It will be okay.

Guppy is in the gym, doing yoga, because it's a bit chilly outside today.

He gives X a nod the next time she bounces past, making a note to catch her when she's done.

X winds down her workout not long after, coming directly over to Guppy.

"Something is wrong?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Hey X. Hopefully not." Guppy says.

"I was just wondering if you might be able to tell me what became of Alana. She left the Life Support team some weeks back and we haven't heard anything since and I know she went back with you to face Lecter."

"We defeated him."

X's response is prompt.

"I came back here. She stayed."

Guide enters the gym favoring a shoulder that still twinges.

It takes X a few moments to acknowledge him, but when she does --

"You have been hurt?"

[shakemyhand]

Guide nods and offers her a pair of sticks.

"Would you like to spar?" he asks.

He needs to work with it before he goes back to his world.

X studies the sticks for a few moments, then reaches out to take them.

"Style matters? For you."

She is probably not going to use the bantos rods the exact way the Athosians do, for instance.
