The guy at the bar is dressed down in an open bathrobe and slacks, freshly shaven and with wet hair tied into a tiny pony tail.

He'd woken up in a strange room, alone with two strange cats, and in considerable state of disrepair. Luckily, the cats hadn't kept him from using the bathroom to put himself in order. Before whatever girl lived there returned, he'd made good his escape, including a bathrobe that was definitely not his own. The hotel wouldn't mind.

 

His eyes are hooded, calm as he sips his coffee. It hurts a little in his throat; he must have caught a cold on top of the unholy mess his life has turned into. Luckily, most of that would be sorted soon.

Odd little hotel, this.

Ganymede is likewise sitting at a table, braiding little wands of lavender stalks, winding them with different colors of ribbon.

"You look a little lost," he says. "Or very much comfortable, either way."

"Both," the man says. "I woke up in a strange hotel room, with two cats looking at me. I hope I had fun last night."

"I hope you did too," he chuckles, tying off the ribbon on his lavender wand, and setting it in the basket beside him.

"No idea who you spent it with?"

"None whatsoever," the guy says. "The reel broke. She has cats."

He grins.

"You know a girl with cats here? A dozen, I guess."

"Know a couple guys with cats, no girls," he says lightly. "What makes you sure it was a girl?"

[galen_erso]

"What else would it be?" the guy says. "Never done anything where there wasn't at least one girl involved."

[the_cupbearer]

"Just because you haven't when you were sober doesn't mean you didn't last night," Ganymede says.

"Man, you know how to worry a guy," the fellow chuckles. "I'm sure I wouldn't do anything drunk that I don't at least secretly fantasise about sober. After all, no amount of whiskey gives you a personality transplant."
