[OOM: On the Ghost, Hera and Kanan come to some realizations about their responsibilities to the rest of the crew, and how they feel about that.]
It's been less than a day since Ezra's infiltration of the Imperial Academy began, and Kanan is already a nervous mess of tension. He's tried to hide it, but in such close quarters as the ship, it's really difficult to do that. That energy has slowly been filling the entire ship, and that's . . . not feasible for a mission this long.
Dissipating said energy is the main reason Hera and Kanan are here today. Hera locks gazes with Kanan for a moment, smiling faintly and nudging him toward the back door. She inhales heavily when he's gone, then goes to Bar to get a drink and find a very comfortable booth to settle herself down in. She's going to savor these moments -- and this drink.
Meanwhile Kanan walks quickly and with great focus toward the rocks surrounding the Caribbean inlet. It's warm there, so maybe the change will get his mind focused back on actually accomplishing things instead of senseless worrying, and also --
Well, it's a good place to meditate. Or to try, at least.
[ooc: Feel free to tag either pup, or both in their separate locations!]

"Hera, it's good to see you."
This is accompanied by a slightly crooked smile.
"Did you come here to be alone, or would you mind some company for a while?"
no subject
"No, I don't mind company."
Well, unless Ysalwen is also a tight ball of nerves today. But so far she doesn't look that way.
no subject
"I've been wandering in the wilderness just lately, and I could use some actual socialization. You've been well, I hope?"
no subject
She glances down at Liranan, before she continues, "My, um -"
Hera hesitates on that for a second, then gives her head a little shake. "- one of my crew is feeling a little - tense about our mission at the moment. So I'm hoping he's found a way to deal with that, before it starts rubbing off on me."
no subject
"Did you send him out to hit dummies with sticks? I've found that works for most people, but -- maybe not everyone."

Usually it takes outside interference. Or, you know. Missions full of action.
no subject
That seems like too much to hope for. "But I hope he can find a way to ease up."
no subject
Ysalwen huffs out a breath.
"Though I'm going to venture a guess that you might want to talk about something that isn't circled by that tension? Which . . . leaves a great deal of room for a topic change. Hmm."
no subject
"How are things with you?"
no subject
"I've been traveling west, far past where I'm used to being. There's a lot of sand there. They call it the Hissing Wastes, and there's good reasons for that."
Ah, sand. So comfortable, so soothing to the skin. (Not.)

She raises an eyebrow, though asks in an even voice, "Can I help you?"
no subject
"Hey, sorry. You're my first non-human." The Bastion doesn't count. "I'm Gabriel."
no subject
"My name's Hera."
no subject
He's a little amused.
"Nice to meet you. I'm from Earth in case that wasn't painfully obvious already."
no subject
Whatever that is or means, she has no idea.
no subject
"Greece is one of our countries, been around since ancient times. Nice place, borders a sea, mild weather. Kinda touristy these days." He's passed through once or twice.
"Do they have countries where you're from?"
no subject
After a beat, as it occurs to her he might not know, "Ryloth's the name of my homeworld."

She takes another sip of her drink, and then asks, "Is your Earth one of the ones with space travel?"

"Hello," he says with a grin. He's now wearing a travel stained Baja hoodie and jeans that might have been blue once, though he doesn't reek.

Kanan doesn't startle at the presence of someone else where he expected solitude, not least because he was kind of expecting it.
"Uh. Hi. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I was just looking for a place to . . . "
How to put this?
"Decompress."
no subject
"Or we can talk to distract from whatever it was you needed decompressing from."
Danny is in an oddly friendly and peaceful mood. X was so right about these rocks for meditating.
no subject
"What, talk about the weather? I don't know, maybe that would work."
He's willing to try. Maybe it will let him get to a place where he feels like he wants to meditate, instead of like he's about to come out of his own skin.
