Noriko walks into the bar today happily free of her cast!

FINALLY.

She is, however, caged into a leg brace (at least it lets her skin breathe and she can take it off to shower) that supports the still-slowly-healing bone and her knee, which is as yet unstable. She's dressed fairly nice for her usual style in flats and dressy clothes--get a load of the metallic shorts--but her face is the perfect example of 1000% done. Wandering around New Orleans with Remy's guild girls is testing her patience, which has resulted in her shoving one of them into the nearest fountain.

She feels better now, but is currently parked at the bar with a drink and a notepad. Someone appears to be planning a trip.

Sinric smiles to see her. "Noriko, you look much refreshed now you're free of your cast?"

She looks up with a smile of her own, putting the pencil down; from upside-down it's just a list of clothes according to days.

"Well, yeah, the fact that I can walk on both feet and bend my knee and ankle again are kinda great," she says.

"And has your leg healing well? I'm very glad for you. Are you planning to celebrate?"

"So far, so good, they're telling me," Noriko says, shrugging. "Yeah, Remy's taking me on vacation to Disney World, a theme park in Florida, for a week. Still have the brace on, but it's easier to walk with."

So, still a cause for celebration. She can at least put weight on her leg now.

"May I ask, what's a theme park?" He asks, sitting down nearby.

"It's a park that has rides, and games, and other entertainment stuff. It's supposed to be fun."

"Oh," Sinric's eyes brighten. "That sounds wonderful. But you don't sound so confident that it will be fun?"

"Well, I've never been there, and it's supposed to be very...happy, very childlike in a way? And very crowded. Not sure how much of the magic I'll be receptive to, but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it."

"Perhaps the more people around you who are enjoying the place, the greater the joy will be?"

Noriko shrugs. "It's a possibility, yeah. I mean, I'm hoping it'll be nice, I'll enjoy spending time with Remy either way."

"Then I hope you enjoy it together." Sinric smiles.

Somebody walks past her, nods, and takes a look at the leg brace.

Galen is trying to determine if it has little servos, and some sort of technological interface to her mind. It could probably be improved with some kyber technology...

Well, a dude staring at her legs isn't altogether uncommon for Noriko, but she was rather hoping it wouldn't happen quite so much in the bar.

Guess not.

"You staring like that is not gonna make me do any tricks."

"Oh, excuse me," he says. "Do you have servo motors in there?"

"Nope, it's just a brace," she says. "No motors, no independent movement."

"That would help, though," the fellow -- obviously not Hannibal -- says. "What happened to your leg? Erm, if I may ask?"

"It was broken in two places and had a little fracture in another," Noriko answers. "I just got out of a full leg cast, this is just to keep me stable. I can bend it okay on my own."

"What happened to break it?"

"I got the shit kicked out of me," she answers dryly. "I got whaled on with a steel bat. It broke both bones in my lower leg and fractured one in another place. Chipped part of my thigh bone."

"Here?" Galen says, alarmed. "I hope they're still in the cells."

"No, not here. At home," she says. "Got locked in here when I came in, with the leg cast. Only just got out again. Had the cast taken off, got a leg brace instead."

"Wasn't that atad awkward to explain to your doctor back home?" Galen wonders.

"I don't have a regular doctor back home. And weirder things have happened."

"Well, yes, this is Milliways," Galen says, as if he just remembered. "Weirder like what?"

"Not weirder here," she says. "Weirder there, at home. And like being infected with a cancer-like virus that makes us lose control of our powers and die in the process."

Legacy Virus. Not fun.
