It's stupidly hot in Los Santos today. It's also raining. How does that even happen? It's disgusting.
Since he can't let the dog out at home without inevitably getting mud all over the house, he's let the dog out on the grounds at Milliways. And since everyone else in Los Santos feels the same way about getting their workout done in the disgusting heat rain, the gym is full to capacity.
Luckily, there's a perfectly good lake to go for a run around. Wilford would just like to know how people run with their dogs, because he's tripped over his twice, and is trying very hard not to do it a third time.
After, once he gives up trying to get any meaningful exercise in, he leaves the dog outside and heads back to the bar for a cold drink and to see if he can find a race or something on TV to watch.
[ooc: catch him at the lake, or at the bar, or anywhere in between.]

He falls into step beside Wilford, drenched in sweat, and gives him a nod.

"Get out!" he shouts at the dog as he struggles to regain his balance.
Buster thinks this is a great game!

"I tied him up but he slipped out of his collar."
His knees are scraped up and muddy from the first time Buster got underfoot.

"What? Since when?" he asks.
People don't usually quit. They tend to get fired before they have a chance.

He bows his head. "Thank you for the opportunity."

He nods, having no reason to kick up a fuss over the resignation.
"Forgot to tell you. Dog's all yours on Thursday. I've got a dentist appointment in the morning."
Buster tries to lick Wilford's scraped knee, and gets a little swat on the snout for his efforts. It doesn't seem to deter him.

It's not that he doesn't trust Autor's judgement. He just... doesn't trust Autor's judgement.
"I'll ask around and see if anybody's getting rid of their help."
He stands up straight again and looks over the lake. With no warning, he bends down to pick up a rock and hurls it out into the water, sending Buster blundering off to go find it.

He watches his dog disappear under the water, only to come back up spluttering and snuffing water. But he still hasn't found his rock, so he keeps trying.
Wilford wonders how he survived at all as a runaway.
