"Why don't you just take one of my apology forms?" Fry is saying to Coral in one corner of the bar. "I've got twenty printed out, you just fill in what you did wrong and the name."

"I don't apologise like that." Coral says, firmly, handing him the Hello Kitty paper she's been writing on. "Can you check the spelling please?"

"'Deer Outer I am really sorry I was mean it was becaors of the bug I think you will be the best docter I got you a sorry present love from Coral xx'".

Fry changes 'Deer' to 'Dear', 'Outer' to 'Autor' and 'becaors' to 'becuase'.

"What's the present?" he asks.

"Pink slime"." Coral replies.

"Good choice." Fry nods sagely. Everyone needs slime. Autor probably doesn't have any because he's from the olden days.

Autor strides over there with purpose, holding a napkin. "Hi, Coral. Fry. Bar said I should talk to you. What's going on?"

Coral goes up to him and gives him a big glompy hug.

"I needed to say sorry because I was so mean to you and I don't know why and I didn't mean to be something went weird when I got stung by the bug and I was the meaniest meanie and I wrote you a letter and got you a present."

Autor blinks at her, startled, and eventually wraps his arms around her. "It's all right, Coral. I don't mind at all. Just as long as you're feeling better--you were sick, and scared, and I didn't help with that in the slightest. I'm sorry, too."

"I was mean to Rae too. She said there was a bug going round." Coral says, shedding a few tears on him in her apologetic state.

"I still think you would have been better off filling in one of my apology forms." Fry butts in.

"A bug? Like a flu?" Autor says, tilting his head. He rubs his thumbs across her cheeks. "A form wouldn't be the same, Fry."

[coral_sandhu]

"Of course it wouldn't be the same." Fry says. "It wouldn't have Hello Kitty on it, and it would be spelled correctly the first time."

Coral nods. "Like the bad flu that Daddy doesn't let us come in the bar for."

Autor offers Fry a small smile, and then turns to Coral again. "Interesting. Milliways does tend to have behavior-changing events crop up sometimes. If that's the case, then you shouldn't apologize for something you can't control."

"But when people let out a bottom burp they have to say sorry and they couldn't control that."

[herr_bookman]

"Don't people say excuse me for that? Or is it I'm sorry?" Autor says, not above quibbling with a child.

[coral_sandhu]

"You say pardon me which means forgive me which is the same as sorry."

[herr_bookman]

Autor holds up his hands. "All right, all right. I accept your apology."

[coral_sandhu]

"See, forms are easier." Fry says.

"So we're good now?" Coral asks Autor, seriously.

"Of course, Coral," Autor says, just as seriously. "We were good before. But I appreciate your apology."

"Do you want to open your slime?"

[herr_bookman]

Autor blinks at the two of them. "My what?"

[coral_sandhu]

Coral holds out her present to him again.

Autor takes the tin of slime, and after a hesitant look to Coral, opens it. The goop sticks to his fingers and makes him laugh. "Gross," he says, highly amused. "Thanks, Coral."
