Ice cream party

Baze has been carting gallons of ice cream in buckets of ice to the beach all morning. He promised Egil that he'd throw a midsummer party, and so that's what he's been preparing for for the past two weeks. Now, there's an ice cream table, a toppings table, and one with water bottles on ice.

Through it all, Baze is flitting from place to place, offering greetings to people and stuffing his face with the frozen treats.

Baze is always available to greet people, but other patrons can feel free to mingle in the sand.

Rae is in her element, out in the blazing summer sunlight. "Baze!" she greets the great guardian with a beaming smile. "Is this your doing? What a great idea!"

"Sunshine!" Baze calls, opening his arms to her.

"Egil and I came up with the idea! I'm glad that you came! How are you?"

Sunshine hugs him, laughing. "I'm doing well! And now there's ice cream and friends, so I'm doing even better! How have you been?"

Creed's been lazing in the sun wondering what all the commotion is about. He's not certain he likes the answer once he finds out.

Ice cream? Like, a party for ice cream?

Modern people are strange. He grabs a bottle of water and heads toward the trees to watch from the shade.

Laying in the shade? Alone? That won't do! Baze stops by the ice cream table to grab a bowl of buttered rum and dark chocolate whiskey salted caramel ice creams, and then heads over to Creed's tree, holding the bowl out like a peace offering.

"Hoi, Creed! May the Force of others be with you! Want some alcoholic ice cream?" Baze says, wearing his red and black Guardian's robes.

That makes him sit up a little.

"They got ice cream with alcohol in it?" News to him, and good news at that.

Teja appears with Egil, both in beach clothes of sorts. For Teja, that means black Bermuda shorts and a black tee-shirt; Egil is far more colourful in a miniature Icelandic football jersey and bright blue swim trunks.

Egil races towards Baze. "There is my ally!"

"Hiya, Egil!" Baze says, crouching down and opening his arms to him.

"And hello, Teja! May the Force of others be with you both! How are you?"

There's every flavor under the sun at the ice cream table: traditional flavors like chocolate, vanilla bean, and strawberry are of course present, while matcha, cheesecake brownie, mocha almond fudge, rhubarb, and pralines and cream round out some of the rest of the selection.

For the adults in the crowd, there's also an alcoholic bunch of frozen treats: mango margarita sorbet, buttered rum, maple bacon bourbon, spiked mint chocolate chip, and dark chocolate whiskey salted caramel.

Party attendees can choose between sugar cones, cake cones, or compostable spoons and bowls.

Sunshine is torn. Should she sate her curiosity for the rhubarb ice cream, or for the crème de menthe chocolate chip?

Well, obviously both.

In his wisdom, Eden is basically just piling a cone as high as it can go with ice cream, starting with the flavours he doesn't know. Well, the ones he's allowed to, at least -- when he reaches for the buttered rum, Chirithy materialises on his shoulder, barks a quick "No," and vanishes again.

He manages to get a tower of about six scoops before it becomes dangerously unstable. That'll do for now, but he'll be back as soon as it's done.

It was Emcee's understanding that this was a daytime beach party, so he has come prepared wearing sunglasses and a wide-brimmed sun hat. After spreading a beach towel on the sand in the shade of some palm trees, he takes off his boots and makes his way barefooted across the warm sand toward the ice cream table.

He is here for the booziest flavor available, possibly topped with more booze, or perhaps dunked in it. As long as there's booze.

Baze comes barreling across the sand from the drinks table, a grin on his face and water bottle in hand. He's wearing red and black Guardian's robes, which look similar to Chirrut's and suit Baze nicely.

"Emcee! May the Force of others be with you! Getting some alcoholic ice cream?" Baze says, skidding to a stop in front of the erstwhile bartender.

By the time Emcee acquires his boozy ice cream and makes his way back to his beach towel, something white and fluffy and curled into a near-perfect circle has occupied some of its space.

Bastion can't eat ice cream; Ganymede can, but shouldn't. Instead, they've scooped various flavours of ice cream into one of the compostable bowls and are using it as a sculptural medium. With a spoon, they've arranged it into the shape of a multicolored frog.

Oh, it's a droid! And they're... Sculpting? Huh. Normally, Baze thinks droids are creepy, but this one seems harmless enough. And they have a little bird with them!

There's an elf Lord with a bowl of ice cream in hand looking the options over.

Some are familiar, some downright baffling.
(The same held true of the ice cream).

Elrond is dressed in loose summer robes the colour of makes and skies and fields, all the way down to a delicate trim of embroidered flowers such as one might find in a meadow.
