Fifteen years ago, rebel commander Thrawn spoke with young Hera Syndulla about her weeks' lessons, and taught her a new tool for understanding her Terran enemies.

Not so long ago, a now grown Hera returned from an assignment for a debriefing that took a turn she wasn't expecting.

Even more recently, another mission leads Hera to cross paths with a Starfleet lieutenant. Not long after, Hera finds herself now the teacher.
